No, I think that to start with (if it was to come in), have it one player.

I think insted of the practice table, the defult setting should be for (*thinks of name*)...(cant think of another one) that game.

Of course, you should also have the option to switch back to the normal practice table.

and of course; if the game is successful, then maybe have two players...but we got to slow things down a bit and try things out first.

maybe if we can get this developed, we could turf mini golf (as there would be lots of pressure on the server) ??

I think this would be a great addition, with many possibilities.

One of the best aspects is that it could never be "mastered", as we could add new levels as the top players come close to completeing what is there at the time.

I don't think its suitable for multi-player though. However recognition could come from announcements for reaching higher levels.

This idea is sounding even better than yesterday.
I really hope Nick sees this topic.

nice idea but wouldnt it make it more intresting if it was head to head? for example both players take it in turns to get to the best level they can before their opponent trying to better it.

If you played the game like the quote above,
wouldn't it be like playing the game "horse"?

Just wondering.

Bumping this back up as i have a couple of points i wish to add and also because it initially received a fairy positive response.

Firstly could something like this be implemented using the same system as mini golf? By this i mean a new layout appearing as the last ball is potted in much the same way a new layout appears when the 'golf' ball is potted.

You would start at level one and the idea is to clear the table with one run. The balls would be in preset positions, so not necessarily 15 balls. This way everybody is attempting the same ball patterns.

If you clear and pot the black you advance to level two. Miss a ball and it's back to level one!

The clear would become more difficult as the levels progressed, perhaps adding more balls in barrier formations etc. We could have somewhere around 100 levels, so there could even be room on the later stages where you can't touch the other colour ball...or the cushions!

Thoughts?

I'm now thinking we could still have this same clearance game type implemented, again having a preset amount of levels, but the difference is your shot count makes the final score (instead of restarting from level one on a miss). A shot penalty (3 shots) could be used if the black is fouled.

Could the golf engine be used along with the code from the regular games that can tell when the black (Game has finished) is potted?

Would it be worth the effort (If viable) with a wide selection already at hand?

Or you could even have it timed, the level you reached goes on the leaderboard aswell as the total time you took, however limit it to so man seconds per shot anyway say like 20s per shot, level onehas 5 balls you do each ball in 10 seconds theres level one in 50 seconds then that 50 seconds carries on to level 2 and the total time took will go at the end when you do fail the level
