Right, what I meant is, how did Nick know that someone was wrong with those posts and change them? Maybe he just searched the forums for the text "editPost.do?editpostid", found them and changed them to "viewTopic.do?topicid". I dunno...

The second part, then, deals with the that that the fixed links don't work. And this would be cos the number after the equals sign after editPost.do?editpostid identifies the individual comment, whereas the number after the equals sign after viewTopic.do?topicid identifies the thread.

they are really old threads and nick changed the links in them last week. Clooneman is asking how nick knew the links needed changing.....and then i think he is saying that nick has re-linked them on the thread still wrong so he is providing a new link that works....

what i want to know is how clooneman knew that nick had changed the links in the first place lmao

Haha, some internal links were wrong which flagged up some errors. Hence I made them valid links (the ID is still wrong but that doesn't log an error).

Well... ya know the way I post links to previous games? And I clicked one of those incorrect links and it didn't work cos I accidentally used the "Edit" link of a post of mine instead of the pages URL. Or the URL of the edit page itself. So I was aware there were broken links with editPost instead of viewPost in them.

In the most recent RTH game (RTH9), I included links to the previous games, and those threads themselves had links to previous games, so I was expecting to see the editPost URLs there.

1. They were gone. Also, those pages show that nick had edited the posts, and therefore had fixed them.
2. I clicked them but they still didn't work.

Hence my comments that I noticed they had been fixed and that they were still wrong.
