Hi,

I've just added 3D shading effects on the balls to give the balls more of a depth feel.

In addition the UK balls are dynamically rendered.

I have also tried to improve the effect of scaling on the ball, eg if you play on a very low or very high resolution it should still look good. UK pool, in particular, should be improved substantially in this area.

If you have any problems with the balls please let me know (eg do they look more "octagon" like than before?).

I know that changes seem initially wrong to some people, so please give it a week and if you still feel that way, let me know!

I love it Nick, it's still UK 8 Ball but the balls are loads better, I especially like the cue ball on the right hand side in which you use for the spin.

i also think that the new '3d balls' is the perfect compromise between those who wanted ful on 3D against those (like me) who wanted to stay at 2D.

Oh God trust it to be me to add the first negative! Well..not a negative as such, but does anyone think the balls colours looks darker since the change?

Also the new felts are meant to have lighting shining down on them?

Shouldn't the spot of lighting dim slightly or change in some way as it moves in to darker areas of the table

I think they do look fair bit darker yes, but I see that as an improvement personally
