Hey all... It's that time again, and this time it's 9 ball. The first Irish Cup was for UK 8 ball, can be found at http://www.funkypool.com/viewTopic.do?topicid=12095&page=1 and was won by smithbit after a bit of a hiccup near the end. So, rules, with the more important ones in bold:

- 9 ball
- All players must be Irish
- Open draw knockout
- The draw may be manipulated in later rounds to ensure an even spread of byes in the case of disqualifications
- The draw may be manipulated to keep potentially unreliable players apart
- Games are first to 3; the semis are first to 4 and the final is first to 5
- Players may be readmitted into the tournament under conditions described at http://www.funkypool.com/viewTopic.do?topicid=12600&page=1
- Reliable players only!!!
- Rules may change in extreme circumstances

So it looks like we'll have a prelimary round game, and I'll either do it randomly or I'll place someone who is new in there just in case they decide that FP is not for them. Don't take it personally, I'm just going by my experience running tournaments!

Still time to enter. Draw should take place tonight. Otherwise it'll be tomorrow. If the number remains 9, I might end up drawing both the prelim round game and the quarterfinal round at the same time. Whoever wins the prelim game should then be eligible for a bye later on if it should come up.
