Semi Final Week Summaries... Graciously brought to you by sm_rat's news... SONG 1


Eoghan ~ Radiated confidence this week. Absolutely suited him doing new and young songs. He looked as though he enjoyed it and that's all that matters!

Diana ~ If possible, she's even cuter doing rock songs than cute songs! She nailed that song (in my opinion as Ive never heard it before). She looked cute as well! In summary... cute.

Alexandra ~ Even though I thought that she is amazing, she wasn't as good as last week which was mind blowing. She did well though which is consistent to every other week.

JLS ~ Hate the song. They had a SHAKEY start but got better. I will reserve my judgement as my loathing for the song will damage my opinion. Have a better 2nd song pleassse!




Great first songs and I can't wait for the second. There is no clear leader, though JLS stand last in my opinion.

Eoghan ~ No no no no no... A 16 Yr old should NOT sing ABBA!! That timeless band has its own unique style of music which Eoghan cannot even come close to matching. He's seriously in doubt.

Diana ~ Very safe. She sang a slow song like most other weeks and she sounds as good as ever! The song didnt really push her and show the audience what she is capable of unlike the first song.

Alexandra ~ The song was a bit boring and safe like Diana. I would say that everything I said about Diana's second song can apply here.

JLS ~ Much better. I didn't think that it either song were really pushing for a final spot (contrary to the judges opinion). They were very good this song. Just not very exciting.


In summary I would say that the second songs were poor compared to first songs. Eoghan and JLS were weakest this week overall and I would be happy if either one of those went home. Diana and Alexandra both deserve a place in the final.

With Il Divo putting a stunning performance into the xfactor arena tonight, it made me realise how little operatic pop is heard these days. That genre is AMAZING!! As soon as this show has finished I will be on youtube looking for Il Divo songs.

Anyway, the results are in... and DIANA IS OUT!

Diana has had a brilliant run and this shouldn't be the last you hear of her. She has had a brilliant run this show and will stay around in legend (especially at school. People LOVE her!) Anyway, Eoghan deserved to go But well deserved all the same

Now, the foundations are set for next week's final between Eoghan, JLS and Alexandra. It should be a corker. Tune in to sm_rat's news next week for the FINAL!

(And brilliant showmanship with the other finalists stage crashing during Diana's song. GREAT show!)(Almost made me cry... )
