I have to say that Ruth seems to be very well supported which is good to see

Well I just did a running commentary. When they came up to sing I would put down my thoughts... ... Kinda wierd that we think the same thing...

I think Ruth should win it. She is the only contestant so far in which i could say "i'd buy her CD". She also has a very powerful voice.

It may sound harsh but i really hope Eoghan doesn't win. I'm quite bored with the young male winners who just fade away so easily.

JLS are the best group and deserve to get this far but recently have gone a bit 'average'.

Diana has a very unique voice but i think she tries too hard and it can be a bit painful to listen sometimes but i really do hope she wins.

Ruth, Diana and Eoghan will be in the final i think. Ruth is my favourite but i think Diana will get it.

After the 1st songs...


Ruth ~ Very powerful, great song and great performance. She really fits into that genre. Wierd performance, but I'm not complaining.

JLS ~ Very safe... TOO safe... Needed to add a little spice to make it better. Very nice vocally though.

Alexandra ~ Didn't think her voice was powerful enough. Dull performance vocally but the performance was great! She needs to take a "power" lesson from Ruth

Eoghan ~ Started off a little weak, but as he got into it, it got thousands of times better. As the judges say, Britney does not suit the boys...

Diana ~ Although the judges didn't like it, I thought it was a cute performance! Maybe I bit safe, but I thought it suited her... maybe that's why I'm not a judge...



In summary, I thought the first songs of this week only had one outstanding performance which was Ruth...

Ratty, making some very good points there, as usual, but...

Alexandra's performance complimented the song that they chose perfectly, it may have seemed a bit weak, but she got into it, and it was very close to a perfect performance.

JLS, has Louis gone mad? Wrong song completely for them, and if anyone is in need of a "power" lesson from Ruth, it is them.

Diana, cute as ever, good song, but she did waver a bit vocally, but she should pull it all back up with her second song.

After 2 songs!

Ruth ~ Scarily powerful... I cannot pick apart that song, it was absolutely amazing!! As the judges say, it was the most intense performances of the xfactor, and she sang it deep deep from the bottom of her heart. WOW!!

JLS ~ I felt no harmony between them this song. It fell apart a bit in the middle, but they had a sparkle in their eyes that made them seem as if they were enjoying it. Still not safe in my opinion.

Alexandra ~ Muuuuuuuuch better!! All the songs sound sooo much better when sung with POWER! Brilliant! The song suited her very well. Nothing wrong with it! Great performance! Alexandra deserves that cry

Eoghan ~ I thought it was a poor start... Very high school musical-ish which I don't like. I didn't think the vocals were that brilliant either. The backing singers dominated in my opinion. Good luck to Eoghan I say that was poor. . Why do the judges oppose me?? I didnt think it was good!

Diana ~ One of my favourite songs of all time. I thought she nailed it to the nest of her ability. Her voice isn't big by nature, bit she tried her best in this song and it payed off. The "flick" on her voice didn't suit the song this week.


Second songs were squillions of times better than the first. I was absolutely mesmorized by Ruth and Alexandra. WOW!! I'm gonna save those to my favourites on youtube.

Hard to say who'll go, but it won't be Ruth or Alexandra.

JLS in biig trouble tonight I feel, Eoghan had the right song, despite me hating it, him and the song are very popular, still feel he is likely to go into the bottom two.

Diana needs to pull it together for next week, wasn't a strong week for her at all, but she has huge support, people love her 'cause she's so different and so cute.

As for Louis' comment on her not dancing, the voice she has isn't like Madonna's, or Britney's, it isn't a voice with which the singer can dance with, it's powerful, but in a different way.

I can't believe Ruth is out, no way did she deserve that, not at all, she's amazing. Best such an amazing, powerful singer, should be her, Diana and Alexandra in the final.

JLS ~ Loved BOTH but the 2nd song done it for me. Defo in the final them and even if they dnt win, we WILL see them again...and lots of them JUST WATCH
