SHOES


A little poem i'll do for you's
All about me and my shoes

Diff sized heels and colours galore
All lined neatly along my floor

Flats and sandles, suede or leather
Summer flip flops for nice weather

Trainees for jogging, boots when cold
Some are plain and some really bold

I love my shoes like every girl
I slip them on and give a twirl

Any girl can look really sweet
With great shoes upon her feet

Come on ppl...poems!!!!!

My body clock

I've been haunted now for a month or so,
By a sleepless disease that I do not know.
Not insomnia, for I'm eventually cast,
When the day breaks I hit the pillow so fast.

Mindless thoughts as I lay awake,
Praying to God for sleep, for body's own sake!
The pillow grows restless, my feet toss and turn,
And there's a fire in the mind that continues to burn.

There's no lack of sheep, too many flew by,
What is this awareness that keeps open my eyes?
And then dawn breaks, and the birds start to sing,
By now I'm haggard, and my eyes start to sting.

'Have I taken care of this?, Do I need to do that?'
Questions run quickly around the head that lies flat.
Then I hear Pa, who's up for his work,
And the cat scratching around, for she always lurks.

So then comes the noise, I hear the kettle boil,
By now I'm going through sleepless turmoil.
Nothing on the box, I'm a prisoner trapped,
It's obvious now that the night has overlapped.

And then I'm awoken, I must of gotten some sleep,
Gingerly I crawl out of bed to my feet.
I check out the time, its midday at least,
And my tummy's rumbling, its time for a feast.

I know that this will repeat, I can't have an early night,
I go to bed early, to try end my plight.
But my mind becomes active, at such a late hour,
It's a curse that I can't seem to overpower.

So I post this one late, my first in a while,
And though I cant sleep, I can raise a nice smile.
I hope sincerely, that this script finds you well,
Now I must lay down, and go straight back through hell!


Hope everyone I know on here is good, been a while!

So i guess this post is finally the time,
Where I post the most important message of mine.
it's not a bump, or a catch up call,
this is something written upon the wall.
Maybe some respect for me is lost,
And I cant blame anyone for this dreadful cost.
Neglective is the word that would best describe me,
Too much time reading books or watching TV.
Some friends on here that I'll never describe,
To the life I have on the other side.
I kept it all secret, my own good fun,
I basked on the beaches of funkypool sun.
Theres just one person to be left in the past,
Someody I hope that I can make it last.
I posted poems alone, only for her head,
And I'd just make them up, to place her in good stead.
I know that she'll read it, she's such a good lass,
A top sort of bird, placed in the top class.
It's wierd coming back, a stranger am I,
I realise its true and brings a tear to my eye.
The past is now gone, I cannot redeem,
And the future is too far gone to be seen.
She knows we were close, her and all my friends,
And the memories I'll cherish right through to the end.
So here's goodbye, unless you want me straight back,
I'm a little apprehensive about all of the flack.
I see this thread as an outlet, a place to express,
And I still regard funkypool as one of the best.

I love it Ste, and i love the fact theres parts which were meant for someone..AND.. more than anything, i love that fact you even done a poem and posted here.

In the field as green as the land,
In the house as warm as a fire,
In the air as cold as my hand.

In the garden as tidy as a suit,
In the trees as joyful as a clown,
In the poem as words come storming out,
Will be based on a little, quiet town.

I'm hoping this isnt the last time
You post a poem or a rhyme
Here i give you a catch up call

You may feel like an FP ghost
Your someone missed the most
I for one still have that respect
So to see your poems i'll expect

A laugh a chat and play some pool
Reminise about that young guy
