THE POOL PLAYER





He came into the room with a smile, 'cause He knew,
He'd show them all what a Pool Player could do.

He took out His cue, so shiny and bright,
It seemed to be made of just fire and light!

He broke the balls hard, spreading them wide,
And the nine ball went in, off the six, in the side.

He cracked them again, then wouldn't you know?
A one-nine combination, three rails (just for show).

He broke and ran out, all bank shots and then,
The nine on the break! And again! And again!

The next game He made all nine balls on the break.
Yet another opponent was left in His wake.

He dropped balls with caroms, and jump shots, and kicks.
The others just watched, then unscrewed their sticks.

One by one they gave up, in awe not in shame.
They had not had a chance, He ran out every game!

He returned to the night and He smiled, 'cause it's true,
He'd shown them all what a Pool Player could do.

Today i won 9ball speed tourny
Im so happy its pretty courny
ha ha ha ha yes im the champ
Im still overwelmed and lil damp

I Laugh all day with others online
And dont get me wrong that is fine
Posting and having a few games
We even call each other bad names

They are mates and make me laff
They cheer me up in this old gaff
And tho they mean loads to me
They dont compare to him ya see

This is the one person that i find
Is constantly roaming round my mind
No matter what the time of day
Into my brain he worms his way

Its now been ages for me and him
Weve been thru things thick and thin
Bad times outweighed by the good
He makes things right, only he could

So here i am after all this time
Declaring my love via this rhyme

Rhyming was not my specialty
Nor was reading aloud

But when I escape from reality
Suddenly I float on a cloud.

In poetry, I find invulnerability
Into dangers abundant I ploughed.

This feeling was just a novelty
I'm really in front of a crowd.

And what does it mean - undershrievalty?
Because I just screamed it aloud.
