Suppose that's why Celtic spent half of last season complaining then, eh?

Smurf, although the thought of that being true was funny it isn't true! Celtic have dropped from 11th to 16th seed (Rangers are 11th) however the actual co-efficient standing does make interesting reading (drawn out of performances from the last 5 seasons in Europe) Rangers have a co-efficient of 56.028 and Celtic's is 39.528 which means that Rangers are contributing nearly 150% of the input to the Scottish European places that Celtic are...... interesting indeed.

Maybe if the co-efficients only benefitted individual clubs when they qualify for Europe Celtic would try a bit harder and put a better management team in place to get them further in Europe???

This means we WILL be in different pots for the group stage draw.

Hopefully Hearts will also qualify, would be nice to see 3 teams in Europe at least.

As per usual (we all remember the aspirations and promises from the Tic last season) we hear big talk from the Celtic management and fans about what they are going to achieve in the coming season, but that's all it ever is .... TALK.

They aren't the champions because they aren't good enough to be the champions and yet they try to discredit the champions who they were inferior to.

Do your talking on the park, understand the phrase PUT UP OR SHUT UP manwee????

WATP! Champions 2008/2009 2009/2010 2010/2011 & 51 other occasions!

always a sign the bears are hurting when the WATP phrase comes out the closet lol

what does it actually mean anyway , your sort of people ( which ever that may be , as you claim you are the people) are the superior race or something?

thanks for the advice m8 but am not planning on SHUTTING UP just yet

How funny would it be if Hearts Celtic and Rangers ended up in the same group?

I don't think the same country ruling applies in Europa league does it?

I keep forgetting they have these 4 team groups now, not the 6 team ones, which were so much better!

Apparently it does.

Country Protection
In the European Champions League and the Europa League, UEFA has a rule that protects clubs from the same European country from playing each other in the earlier rounds of a tournament. This rule dissipates once the competition reaches the quarterfinal stage. This rule, combined with a seeding rule which lets the best teams avoid each other, makes the drawing of matches quite complex in the early rounds.

No matter what you say, manwee, I for one am delighted to have Bartley back at Ibrox (regardless of whether it is a loan or a more expensive transfer). He played a very important part in our campaign last season and was unfortunate to get injured during the PSV game.

Great to see him back, unless the rules have changed i'm sure players on loan players can play for the champions. I am sure that Robbie Keane was hailed by the Tic fans and he was a loan player although not playin for champions of chuff all.
