Manwee can you please use the edit post button? It's there for a reason and it makes me sad when people don't use it.

I had a wee glance at the back page today and i think Whyte had something to say but i didn't read it.

i'll need to read up on all the goings on tomorrow.

HEMED has rejected ibrox move

after he found out the club were bought for a pound he point blank refused the 50 pence wages on offer

Oh haha. We were never going to be able to compete with a Spanish club. Neither would any other team in Scotland. As disappointed as I am, I can't say I blame him. Not many players would choose SPL over La Liga.

Just seen a couple of interesting rumours

Bursaspor to offer £1m + Kenny Miller for Steven Whittaker and Maurice Edu

Aston Villa to offer Carlos Cuellar or Barry Bannon as part of a £10m deal for Allan McGregor and Steven Naismith

Disgusting.

How can they justify this? Are they trying to suggest that McGregor and Naismith are worth one of their players?

As for Bursaspor, they can whistle for it.

Show a bit of respect for goodness sake. We are better than 2 for 1 prices.

Now I'm very open about my disdain for all things Old Firm.

However I'm a big fan of Steven Naismith, who is in my opinion a greeting faced wee thing but also the best player in the SPL. Allan McGregor (an ex-Par who wanted a permanent deal after his loan spell I may add for my own self-satisfaction and only became a starter at Gers after Klos and Leitze got injured) is an above average goalkeeper and a touch overrated. Both would be a loss, but for a club that needs money and a quality centre back £10million and Carlos Cuellar is maybe a good return for Naismith and McGregor.

The Miller + £1m for Edu and Whittaker is ridiculous.

From being a Dunfermline Loyal to a bigot brother. Where did it all go wrong Allan?

You're just jealous because we have a keeper who saves important penalties and wins us trophies

I'd be embarrased to be an old firm fan. Granted the majority are just fine, but that small percent must just make you feel ashamed. Trophies or no trophies.

And before you say all clubs have their idiots. While this is true, they have nothing on the complete morons that follow the Old Firm.

EDIT: I'm thinking it's probably closer to 50/50 to morons/fine ones.

It's not just an Old Firm problem though. What about that Edinburgh derby match a few months ago where missiles were thrown at players? and the recent game between Hearts and Celtic where fans in the Gorgie End sang Billy Boys and other such songs for practically the full 90 minutes

There is a big difference between the level of this though, granted Hearts do that against Celtic. The Old Firm do it everywhere, and when that includes Europe it becomes everyones problem.

Nothing short of an embarrasment to our national game.

Competitiveness for me takes a back seat.

The attitudes of the OF is what is harming our game. This season alone we have had manager's claiming some of the other teams try harder against them than any other team (so condescending and wrong), you would be laughed at had you watched a game and suggested another professional club had allowed the other to win in any other league. The sectarian chants and stance by the supporters of these clubs in every game. Even just the general behaviour, the recent game of Hearts v Celtic was just ridiculous. This thing with Rangers is a new one, putting themselves above other clubs making them work around them getting a money making day.

Imagine, I'd say Dunfermline but we'll use St Johnstone for an unbiased viewpoint, St Johnstone were due to have Rangers at McDiarmid that Saturday/Sunday, a game they'll look to have increased gates for. But the league have to say to them "Sorry boys, Rangers want to play Chelsea today, you can play midweek sometime in a couple of months.". Now it's fairly obvious that a midweek game does not attract as many fans as a weekend and St Johnstone miss out on revenue. That's my argument regarding that, not just this superior attitude that the OF have.

The OF is a clear cancer of our game, the football will be lesser standard, but the state of the game will be far healthier if they were to both get cut out of our league.

I was going into another anti-OF rant, but that'll do.

Glad i'm on the good 50 :

Sometimes ashamed of being a gers fan really, my blood boils when they sing about Union jacks and Britannias and others (which we all are aware of but do not mention).

Maybe i should invest in those Yellow n Red stripes that play at Firhill.
