Bellamy played below his level at Cardiff last season, can't see him dropping down a level again to play up here, a short loan deal like last time would be a slight possibility but Celtic aren't even at same standard as that team was back then. Plus if I were a Celtic fan I'd be far far more desperate for centre half than a pie in the sky hot head.

Back to the real non-paranoid, non-sectarian down to earth world of Scottish football. I'd have loved to have signed Bob Harris for the Pars, but the signing of Paddy Boyle looks to have ended speculation of that one.

agree with you about bellamy ego ( deffo a hothead etc) but imo would bring some much needed excitement to our league which wouldnt be a bad thing

as for defenders?? who really cares ? as long as there was plenty goals and excitement that would do for me

guess it all depends what you are looking for out of football tbh

each to their own i suppose ( winning aint the be all and end all) much worse things going on in the world today which puts football in perspective imo

Danns wil sign for Rangers anyway. No way will he sign for a team who's only won 1 trophy in two years

This is true, plus we are playing champions league football next season. Even more reason for a player to join.

Feels good to be a Gers fan at the moment.

I'm not too sure either. But I'd rather hear it directly from Rangers or Whyte before I'll believe anything.

On a more positive note - Rangers are set to recieve a windfall from the transfer of Charlie Adam from Blackpool to Liverpool for £9m. Rangers will get 15% of the transfer (around £1.3m), while Adam will pocket 10%.

Dropping down a level from the Championship to the SPL....... are you for real?

What an absolute nonsense to suggest that the SPL is that bad. Two reasons! All their teams are desperate to snap our players at the first chance and two, have you actually watched a lot of football? To suggest the standard in the championship is that far ahead of the SPL is laughable.

Not to put too much weight on these games but have a look at all results of any games, ie pre season games, between the two leagues!

As far as im concerned you cant game compare the PL to the SPL obviously but go below that then its crap! Hence why teams that go up pretty much fall straight back down!

Just seen this on a number of Rangers forums. Just rumour at the moment, but would be interesting if it turns out to be true.

Keith Jackson has been banned from Ibrox. The Daily Record has been asked to publish a full apology for the 'Coisty Cash Crisis' story which appeared today. The new regime is sending out a message that untrue stories about the club will no longer be tolerated.

The article on the Daily Record website has been removed

Good.

Any onevisit, i wouldn't say anything below EPL is rubbish, i actually quite like the championship and i would compare it to the SPL.

But that's just me

My point was meant to be that anyone who calls it a drop down in standard obviously does not watch Scottish football! I watch a lot of football and can say ive seen many more entertaining matches in the SPL than the championship!

Dont listen to the hype, do yourself a favour and watch the games so such annoying comments may be more informed!

Didn't miss a game last season, admittedly First Division last season. But watched a lot of SPL also.

I'd agree the Old Firm are comparable to the Championship, but the rest just aren't in the same league. Individually you can pick out players that prove and disprove both arguments i.e Kris Boyd's failure in the Championship and Steven Fletcher's success in the Premiership. But imagine say for example Motherwell taking on Leeds, that would be as one sided as a game gets. Difference in abilityt but an absolute gulf in difference in fitness levels. Comparing the SPL to be on level with the Championship is nothing short of dillusional.

To call in pre-season friendlies as reference is just totally pointless. I once seen a first division Dunfermline beat a Portsmouth side full of internationals that finished top half of the Premiership the season previous. As much faith I have in my team, I know had it been competitive Kanu, Lua Lua and co would have taken us for 5 or 6 without breaking sweat.

Ally McCoist has turned down a 3rd offer from Bursaspor for Steven Whittaker, this time believed to be around 750,000 Euros. Ally is desperate to keep Whittaker and hopes to meet with his agent soon to discuss a new deal.
