The referees lied, yes. But some of the comments about how referees are always against Celtic (Gary Hooper and Billy McNeil (?) the worst offenders) are complete nonsense. I could name countless decisions that have went IN Celtic's favour, especially against St Mirren.
As for Diouf, whoever he signed for, I wouldn't have picked out a team to complain about.
Quit this idea that everyone here is against Celtic. I despise them, but I despise Rangers too.

This thread is brilliant and proves that the old firm paranoia is alive and well.
As a fellow supporter of a non old firm team, i also get constantly told that i must have a preference to one or the other, when are the old firms fans going to get realise i dont care as i don't like either of you as i support aberdeen
But as we have a celtic fan here and you constantly complain about the referees being against you. I presume you will be complaining about the stone wall penalty that aberdeen didnt get the other night and the great decision of sending considine off when he wasn't the last man as per the rules!!!!
Or as usual is this just one to even up all the injustices that you dont get but think you do!!!
Old firm get at least 60 -70% of all big decisions in games when they play all the other teams in scotland it has been like that for years, it is just as well the other teams don't write to the sfa after all the decisions they dont get against the old firm as the sfa could never cope with all that paper they would get sent.
Come on aberdeen on sunday
Hope st mirren win as well yoda

who u talking too lol neil lennon?
all i said was that the referee lied and when did i say all the decisions were against us, i told you im not paranoid already and about diouf well you obviously dont know much about him lol. u should think before u despise the old firm, your team are much better off with the old firm than without them, trust me. people should be wanting the best for scottish football than constantly bringing it down with stupid remarks. i think that your despise of the old firm is a bit stupid to be honest mate and without them scottish football would be nothing thats the bitter truth.
Does anyone talk about scotland on here?

Funny how Celtic have been awarded 11 penalties so far this season. More than any other SPL club.
Conspiracy? What conspiracy?

i have to agree with murphybhoy here, im a celtic fan and im not paranoid. if celtic lose its their own fault and we cannot blame the referees for this. i also have read this thread for months now and have always decided not to make a post as i know my opinion would be squashed straight away from either a rangers fan or the rest who just hate the old firm which i find rather funny. The referees standards are rubbish, bottom line and if nothing is done about this then we will all just have to live with it, some of the decisions have been ridiculous aginst all the teams and it requires a vast improvement, and at least celtic have done something about it. also that remark about the old firm getting most decisions is just like celtics paranoia. so does that mean you are now questioning the referees integrity? which of course would be shocking.

Thanks Keith
Murphy, saying Scottish football is "nothing" without the old firm is plain stupid. Yes, they bring in all the money, but Scottish football would still exist without them. Unfortunately, their dominance has killed off any competition turning it into a complete borefest, and stolen many fans from other clubs due to the more gloryhunter element.
And why should I not despise them? They both bring things like religion into football, sectarianism, not to mention the Rangers fans violence in Europe over the years. Not given me any reason to like them.
Lukes, in terms of speaking out about refereeing, yes it is awful. Others have tried to speak out about it, but they've all been punished. Gus McPherson did it, John Hughes did it, Vladimir Romanov has done it many times. All they get in return is fines.

To be honest i'd like to see Rangers and Celtic out of the SPL, imagine how much more competitive it would become.

Me too. The gap is too great to close now, I'd rather not go my whole lifetime only seeing two sides win the SPL.

In all Fairness, every league is pretty much the same.
England: Man utd, Arsenal, Chelsea.
Spain: Barca, Real Madrid.
That's quickly off the top of if my head, if you done the research into French, Belgian, German leagues the chances are you'd come up with the same thing but a bit dimmed down.

The german league is probably the most competitive league in europe i think. also yoda i never said there would be no scottish football of course their would. what i mean by "nothing" is a rapid decline in attendances, money, european football and most importantly quality. football is a business now and many clubs would struggle. can u imagine the type of player st.mirren would be able to afford? craig dargo would seem like a really good player then lol. also are u not thinking about the lower league clubs in scotland who struggle every year to keep their clubs alive? this current climate in our game is bad enough and without money filtering sown from the spl into the lower leagues many clubs would be no more. the league would be more competitive yes and there would be more excitment, but money and quality no.

mr, the Belgian league is actually quite open. They've had four winners in the past ten years - RSC Anderlecht, Club Bruges, Racing Genk and Standard Liege. Certainly more exciting than the 2 team domination over 20 years now here.
Murphy, in terms of money you are right. Quality, right again. European football, yeah. But attendances...I don't know. We don't watch our clubs because we know we'll play the Old Firm soon, we watch them because we support them. And if the Old Firm moved to England, maybe for away games a few fans would go watch their local teams instead and improve the attendances.
As for St Mirren, half the guys are overpaid anyway. Even I can use both feet to kick a ball, and I'm injured atm. The quality wouldn't decline much if the youth systems did well enough to produce decent players. Lower league clubs dying....if we move to a crappy ten team league structure, they'll be killed anyway playing in Regional leagues because they don't want to be there.
I wasn't squashing lukes post. I pointed out that a few had actually spoken out about it (Mad Vlad especially), and I do agree something has to be done, especially if we consider Willie Collum one of the best referees in Scotland (seriously, he's refereed St Mirren games a lot, and he's awful for both sides like, nearly every game). I can agree with things, I'm actually a very open minded person.
Cup shocks....if Saints beat Ayr, that'll be a shock

Told you St Mirren would win
Well done to The Buddies. Fantastic result considering their form this season. Hope they avoid the winners of Rangers v Celtic in the next round. Would be great to see them in the final.

also well done to the teams who won today, although i would of liked a few shocks, would of been nice to see.

Oh well, 2-2 and a replay at Celtic Park. Really don't fancy our chances there.
Incedently, that replay now means the Old Firm will meet 7 times this season. The 1st time that has ever happened.
Scottish Cup Quarter Final Draw:
Dundee United vs Motherwell
St Mirren vs Aberdeen
Inverness vs Rangers or Celtic
Brechin City vs St Johnstone or Partick Thistle
Edit: Poor Dunfermline. Conceeded a goal in last minute from an unlucky deflection

Nothing poor for Dunfermline, they got what they deserved for 90 minutes of defending
Looking forward to St Mirren in the next round.
I will be there
Come on you reds
Also got to say old firm game was a cracker and the draw was probably the right result.
