i seem to have adverts back, and its since the new change yesterday, i get them on the game window and also on the homepage. im also reciving alot of lag, is this the problem thats making me Lag?

Yh i have them at the top.

everybody is complaining there is more lag but nick says nothing has changed to make the game lag any more than usual....i think that update made my computer slower.......it takes ages to boot up now

but surly if everyone is complaining, then theres a problem.. But what im saying is, when the change wasnt made i saw the balls hit, now im looking at a table, i take a shot, watch the white ball go to hit a selected ball, jsut before it does game frezzes, and then untill all balls have stopped, i dont see the position of the rest of the table. once the balls have stopped. my sceen goes black for a flash, and then the balls are in the position to where they ended.

I get that too man- im not sayin ya wrong- just passing on what nick said elsewhere...i seem to lag more since the previous update (not yesterdays)

when it freezes as u described, try minimizing then maximising again and you should see em moving.....works 4 me anyways

I saw the same thing a few times last night. And I have never ever, in god knows how many games I've played in my time here, seen this effect before now.

Adverts are on mine aswell lagging badly
internet has come off a lot aswell.

im lagging too , i just thought msn and mp3's where to blame

lies...hes was just useless

we played 2 games and it shouldda been 2-0 mmt cos hes crap

but when it came to the black it needed a gentle tap into the bag and i had to whack it to get it to move =S

Adverts coming back may have caused some slow down as the processor is performing 2 different tasks. For a while we were without adverts. If that continued we'd have to have shut down funkypool. Of course, this is unrelated to the new version.

The game code has not changed. So the speed and fluency of the animation is not affected by the new update.

Not seeing the animation at all is a serious problem - it's happened before. There was a bug in the killer code which has been fixed as of this morning, this may have fixed it. If it does happen to you please detail your Java version and which game you were playing.

Well , i dont see the ads nick, and i havent lagged all year. Suddenly, i cant shoot a ball so something is wrong somewhere. Im online now and everyone im talking too is lagging.

i get that bug where the screen kinda freezes all the time....i just min then max and its fine:)

As for not being able to continue without the ads, i think youd find you could. I for one, would be more than willing to pay to play on this site, s'long as premium users opinions were taken into account on updates like this. Even a paypal donate button would get used if you put one on im sure

Problem is lagging has so many different meanings. I just asked the chat room and not one member of 40 had a problem.



When did that last happen? Has it happened today? If so, what's your Java version and what game were you playing?

Not happened yet today. It happens most days though, ill try and explain what i get.

i pull the cue back to break, make contact with the white, and then nothing

after a few seconds the balls move position nstantly to wherever the break has left them.

If i dont minimize then maximise my screen, i wont see any balls move until i do. I just see where they end up.

As for last time it happened, id hazard a guess at the last time i was logged into the game, playing for more than half an hour cos thats normal.... makes no difference what im playing, its been happening since i came onto the site, i have never really seen it as an issue when you just have to min then max and it goes away. i presumed it was a glitch like where a portion of the table covers the chat area etc..

Mike, your Java version is pretty old (it's now v1.6), and it isn't the most stable.

If you can I'd attempt a complete reinstall. (Steals spinner's instructions!)
- Go to control panel
- Add remove programs
- Remove all the java versions you see (there may be more than one).
- Clear browser histories including downloaded program files.
- Reboot (even if you're not told to)
- Then visit http://www.java.com for a new, clean, install.
