Seriously, do you have any proof of this? A run out is your opponent not getting a shot, also, if your opponent breaks and doesn't pot, then you clear the table, I can assure you that is NOT a run-out. Whoever told you that one deserves shooting .

I've played pool all my life, be it reds and yellows, colours and stripes, and 9 ball. And I've never heard anyone say that a run-out is clearing all the balls, and not finishing with a combination.



As well as what I've just said, do you really think you are right? When about 40 people are saying your wrong, and you, one person, says we are wrong. I think the odds are pretty much stacked against you mate .

The definition is exactly the same no matter where you look. A runout is to win a frame without your opponent visiting the table.

Simple.

However, some regions/clubs have their own definitions which differ from this, and thats fine. If you want to call an apple a cow, go right ahead, but don't insist everyone else does as well.

umm. ok i've been doing research, and decided to advance a few other pool gaming websites to find a conclusion to this.
all that i checked, don't give any reward on 9 ball for any kind of combo of the 9 ball.
i'm insisting nothing, but a ratio of 40:1 doesn't mean that the 40 are correct, thats called going with the crowd.

Well it is FUNKYpool remeber there is a couple of different's rule on funkypool compared to real life, like you cant shoot backwards on a fould i think in 8 ball uk plus most 8 ball uk tables have jaws were as funkypool does'nt.

No, A run-out is when your opponent does not get a shot. Last year I was watching the Pool Championships alot, and USA v UK and run-outs were done by combos. I remember a run-out from USA and it was with a 2-9 combo.

It all counts as a run out unless your opponent gets a shot.
