finally got one started, and so far theres me and toontomh in it, im wolves fc ovcourse lol, and he is newcastle, i think sporting said he wanted to be in any online game i got started, and im sure madmike said also on the other thread he is up for it..

so sporting and madmike please get back to me a.s.a.p because were in a game and waiting for you two to join, 4 people is the max, and we need reliability in it..

the leagues i have selected to be used are..

the premiership & championship
scottish premier league & division 1
spanish premier & division 1

all for people in the game (thats if sporting and mike decide to play) have got to choose a team from english league, and cannot be a top four side (man utd, chelski, liverpool or arsenal)..

this thread is to keep people up to date with pregress, team selections, transfers they have made, etc etc..

On the season beginning, Tom immediately put 7 or 8 players on the transfer list, surprisingly including fans favourite Michael Owen. The only transfers to have taken place so far in the Newcastle camp are departures. Geremi left to Middlesbrough for £2.7 Million, while Michael Owen followed him out the exit leaving to West Ham for £8.25 Million, with a further £1.8 Million coming after 10 goals. While those two left on transfers, David Edgar joined Wolves on loan for the rest of the season.

Tom made it public he was after a few big name signings, with some newspapers reporting that he made offers for Klaas Jan Huntelaar & Luka Modric amongst other un-named players.

No games played yet, but Bristol Rovers, Galatasary and others are still to come!

me, tom, and kris, have got past our first game in pre-season, with a few transfers made, madmike didnt sign on 2nite, but when he does, and joins the game (a lil late) he can have plenty of time to sort his stuff out..


so far with my side, i have sold the following players:

gary breen, neill collins, jody craddock, micky gray, darren potter, stephen ward, stephen elliot, jay bothroyd, and carl ikeme..

players i have brought:

cant be telling you that ;) hehe, but most have been players for my youth side, with 1 or 2 senior players on loan..

would u need football manager 08 to play this?

The season continued when Adam finally logged in, but without Kris this time, the game only advanced a few times as Adam needed to sort everything out.

I finally completed my first signing; Klaas Jan Huntelaar from Ajax for a fee of £13 Million, which will rise to £15 Million after 10 goals.

My first game didn't go too well, I drew 2-2 with Bristol Rovers, but it was my assistant in charge and I'd done no signings

I had a late £19million bid turned down for huntelaar.
Im currently readjusting my coaching staff and making tentative enquires for a few players including, falcao, igor akinfeev, arshavin from zenit, a couple of scottish strikers, coloccini and a few more.
Got a £1m bid in for bojan on a season long loan as well.
Plenty of irons in my fire :D

Im looking for a goalkeeper (akinfeev hopefully), a left back (shorey from reading?), a right back/centre back (a couple in mind), a defenseive midfielder (makelele possibly), possibly a centre mid and maybe a winger (wright phillips is keen :S)
Definitly need a quality striker though- cant wait for sturridge to hit 20 years old :S lmao

So basically you need a new team?

i have arrainged all my training schedules, to suit virtually each type of player from goalkeeper, to wing backs, to central deffenders, central midfielders, wingers, and strikers, so that every player in the side improves chances on getting higher stats..

i have currently got 3 loan players, 1 of which is graham stack(reading) who i will be sending back soon as ive signed my target goally..

so far the majority of signings have been for youth team, most notable is a very good central midfielder i have signed, 18 years old, from cardiff, named darcy who will develope for my future team..

my pre-season results so far are, 2-1 loss to galatasaray, and a 1-0 win against stirling, i got 5 friendlies remaining..

the set times for everyone who is in the funky football manager game are as followed (just incase you dont know or have forgot)

mondays - 7.30pm until 10.30

wednesdays - 7.30pm until 10.30

thursdays - 7.30pm until 10.30

please note that from 7.30pm til 8pm ish we wont be continuing game as much because madmike (adam) did say he may not be on for 7.30pm, so two or three continues at max will happen until 8..

I am interested in joining this.

How do I join?

Also.. if we are unable to make one of the sessions, does this mean the whole league will suffer? Would a different time be scheduled for that week? or would everyone else be able to play as normal and whoever didn't attend just catch up whenever?

edit: I have read above only 4 people are allowed to join. Is there no way I could be added as an extra?

its dannys thing mate- i just got an invite- as far as i know there were only 4 spaces and they are all taken.....

danny also set the times, so i have no idea.
