Well, people trying to coach what others should and shouldn't be allowed to post WAS the topic you started here, so it's debatable whether it's off topic at all.
And while we're on this topic, hasn't THIS topic been debated a good number of times before too?
The best advice to get a low traffic forum like this to work, is simply to mind your own business, read and post in whatever threads that interest you, ignore everything else.
The desire to dictate what others should and shouldn't discuss is quite frankly not a very good trait for anyone to have.

I think the idea's not a bad one to be honest, could do with some ideas on how to improve on it though, rather than just having a go at it with no ideas on how to improve (I've only read most of the 1st page, forgive me if i'm wrong in saying that)

am glad that i am not a newbie,for the life of me i can not understand the clear cut prejudice that is given to newbies,in recent posts its been suggested that if a player has posted less than 50 posts then there idea is not a valid one,there has also been a post about nominating the 9 ball because they felt that newbies were being flukey,theres been a post suggesting that a player needs to have at least 100 games before there are able to post.as said a thousand times before we were all newbies once so lets have a bit more respect,just because you have won 2352 tournys or have a rank of 950 does not mean your point(post)out weighs the thought of a newbie,please lets all get on and keep this site funky and not a boring mundane one which singles out anybody with a rank less than 700.....the title of the thread speaks volumes"a way to stop newbies"

For my part, the issue regarding 9 ball is the luck factor in general. That has nothing to do with newbies or not-so-good players in particular tho. But yes, some people hold prejudice in that regard too, unfortunately.
Well said. All the more reason to get Spinners Quick Game suggestion implemented imo. It would be a nice way for everyone who aren't selective in who they play a better arena for meeting up.
