hey is some one allowed 2 accounts? i dont see why 1 should but as i see on here today there is one user who has 2 accounts. names are (edited out) thanks hope something is done this ruins the game coz he looks to be a newbie but he isnt.really bugs me and others

you can have multiple accounts as long as you are open about it and dont use them to play yourself and improve your stats- i have 4 i get bored on here sumtimes- like a bit of anonymity occassionaly

Personally, I dont see the point in 2 accounts.

I prefer to have all my events on 1 profile.

Cos if I got 3 8UK GB's in the space of a minute on a muck around account, I would be distraught that it wasnt on my "proper" account.

That is why I have 1.

But of course, that is me and my opinion, other people may belive otherwise...

They only really do something if they're cheating i think.

That sums it up. You will also note that the link states that we don't check for multiple accounts, so it only becomes an issue when rules are broken.

The rule is clear though, that only one account is officially allowed. In many cases a household, business or school will house more than one member, so the rule is difficult to blanket enforce, unless it becomes necessary to do so.

So if 1 person at a school or shared house continually causes trouble all the members there would also be banned??

No just the offender, As martin said if it's local IP, It's hard to pinpoint all there users so they just ban the orignal offender, But if they know who this member's other users are, Then they will also take further action on them accounts (only if they are 100% ure though), Hope this helps you hitman.

I personally don't mind people using two accounts, Although the rules state only having one account, Just aslong as they use there secondary account in an appropriate manner it shouldn't really be a problem.

i aint bothered about 2 accounts, im happy playing and loosing to anyone, just where i live i know other people play so didnt want to be banned for loosing gracefully

Yes.

Though this rarely has to happen, if a user is being repeatedly abusive and/or disruptive, then there may be no choice but to ban network.

It's kinda sad that good players now and then reroll and go on to play ranked games on a new, non-nwebie 680ish account, but there's technically very little that can be done about it. It's not possible to prove it's the same player - even if from the same IP (a lot of schools, companies, cafes etc typically have lots of people access the Internet through the same IP)

Another side of this, which CAN be remedied, is to remove the reset feature, or at the very least tag the account as unusable in ranked games if stats are reset. Still not much point tho, since creating new accounts is perfectly possible and really impossible to prevent

I have 2 accounts as many people know but that doesnt affect anything.

I have this account and my other one. I use this one for Forum only and my ohter one for game play.

Why did I do it?? Lots of people who annoyed me dont know my other account name (while some do). I also wanted to keep this account for the forums so it didnt look like that I was a new random guy giving input like a experienced member.

its cool though. I dont use this for any game play at all and my forum abilities on my other account has been revoked incase I try to represent two people.

its not the easiest thing in the world, but its legal (admin know about it) and im not getting as much crap as I used to.

2 accounts do work in SOME cases!

i dont see the wrong doing actually...

so long as it's not being used to cheat, I don't see the problem. A spare account is useful if you run out of posts on the forum or, as has been mentioned, want a bit of anonymity in-game
