i would say ps3 is much better

only played an xbox but hoping santa leaves me a ps3 lol

Only reason i prefer the xbox is because the games appeal to me more than the PS3.

All playstation is to me is all shine and no decent gaming. Before you ask, yes i did play PS3 and Xbox a bit before i bought the 360.

Oh, and PS3 doesn't have online pro evo.

Apparently, there was some sort of problem with it online, they were using a patch to prevent lag, but it never worked, since the lag was a big issue they decided to cancel the multiplayer for release.

Not played a PS3, however I spoke to a independent gaming expert and he said that the 360 had the better racing games, which suits me!

id have to say xbox 360 ps3 came out way before its time, yeah its an awesome machine but there arent any games or tv's really (unless your filthy rich) where you can experience its full potential. and being a once sony playstation fan id have to say online play is wayyy better on xbox live, yeah you have to pay for it, but most of the time its lag free, easy set up, and even stat tracking, gotta love xbox live

I haven't played either, but I really want a PS3. For one game though, lol, so I'll probably skip out on that Christmas present.

xbox 360 is much better online play is better as was said earlier in this thread also did have the ps3 the games r no where near as good in graphics a the xbox is . i got hd tv and i feel the picture is slightly distorted on the ps3 in hd . so i sold it after only having it for 3 months. my advice is get the 360 if u aint got it all ready alot better

Recently bought a 360 cause the PS3 is before its time. it's too expensive for my tastes, and I prefer the games available on 360 (Halo 3, Mass Effect, PGR3 to name a few). I suppose if you prefer the games on PS3 go for it, otherwise get the 360.

Need to look at figures, xbox sold 16million consoles PS3 sold 5.7mil thats with christmas aswell lol

I have got them both and I would say the PS3 is better but only becuase I love Song consoles but if you wanted variety then go for Xbox

first of all xbox has alot more games where as ps3 is taking more time to produce games which meet the consoles power and more graphically stunning.

xbox maybe more experienced in the online features etc but people have to pay for it where as ps3 is free to play online.

at the end of the day as long as the gamer enjoys the games then it doesn't really matter which console is better.

The in game architecture of the Playstation 3 is near impossible to work with apparently, and small game developers such as PlayIT (known for their pool games and kids games) won't be able to make games for the PS3 since it's more expensive and longer to make.

Shame really, it's what could cost the PS3 the console war, it's the little games that make it good as well, you won't get as bored.

Well the PS3 has GTA IV coming out on the 04/04/08 - enough said.

Really? I thought GTA was exclusive to Sony ahh well. I have both 360 and ps3 so doesn't matter but I find the PS3's graphics better, 360 does have better online play but not £40 better than the PS3's online play.

Never played the 360 but own a ps3 so can't say which is better, but it is free to play online with the ps3
