Well, makes more sence, why cant the game owner have the options to do some of the following
- kick a member (if game hasn't started)
- Change the game type, and options instead of re creating.
- Enable / Disable chat allowing in game
Kinda weird but im sure other members can help me improve some of these features and would make the game abit more suited, i.e if a noob wont leave u can kick before a game starts etc?

Me like idea. Me vote Yes.
However, the changing game option should only be allowed after at least one game has been played. That way, the owner can't suddenly switch games to fool somebody else. And both players have to agree to it.

Kicking a member out the game room could offend and annoy them.
Disabling chat in the middle of a game i'm unsure of, what if your opponent had to tell you something and t hey couldn't?
Changing the game type without creating is good, though what if someone joined right before you changed the game??
Decent idea though.

- Enable / Disable chat allowing in game
I think this option should be allowed aslong as it is stated in match info, and must be disabled before someone actually joins your game.
- Change the game type, and options instead of re creating.
Again, should maybe only be able to change the type when there is no opponent in the room, otherwise there should somehow be a way to both agree the change (If they don't agree, that handy 'boot' option you suggested would come into play )

The enable/disable chat wouldn't be absolutely necessary, because you can just use the 'ignore user' feature... that way you are achieving what you want. As you will not be able to see what your opponent is typing, and they can not PM you, which they would still be able to do, if the enable/disable feature was introduced.
Although I do agree with the change game type. This could be beneficial to many.

Yeah suppose the ignore option works for the disabling chat version on that, also as for the changing game type i agree with deuce as it would annoy people for a sudden change, maybe the guests can get a pop up asking to allow or decline the invite for a new game type?

I'm assuming that when you say 'guests' you mean the opponent who joins the game..
But yeah, thats the sort of thing i was thinking of.

i have been wanting to do all of those things before in my games.
When I create a tournament warm up, sometimes i accidently create the wrong game type....pain in the butt.
good idea, i like it

Ok I like it but I also agree with mr McQuestion that kicking newbies may offend them. Id rather have options when creating a game such as max ranking, min ranking, newbies allowed?
Then when you create an '800 plus' room it MEANS 800 plus
You can disable chat already by blocking people.
As for the Game type change I think that could get confusing....
I like your ideas, but I think they are perhaps a little draconian. Well done for kicking off a debate tho, I think something needs to be done

Say your idea got implemented and you made an 800 room and somebody of exactly 800 came in as they're allowed, and you beat them taking 3 points off them putting them down to 797.00 would they get booted from the game as if don't have the 800 points required anymore?

lol no thats a good point but I think that would get silly
Just thought Id come back and add another point against the booting rule that was innitially suggested.
The owner should not have the right to boot on his own discretion. Allowing such discretion will mean people booting on the grounds of Age, Sex, Location, or just the look of an opponents name or photo.
Thats why I suggest being able to put in min or max rank as an option in creating.

Oh yeah also as well as well as allow newbies? Min and max rank options there should be an allow spectators option. They dont bother me but I can envisage some people being annoyed by spectators.
I think these options should be automatically checked though like the ranked option is atm so that unless someone changes their game options the set up will be exactly as the current standard; excluding no1
