Ok in my local we play the exact same rules as funkypool, but for one difference, if someone goes in off on the break, then they may pot whatever ball red or yellow and still have choice as the first shot is taken as a free ball, should this not be the same in funkypool?

we play this rule in nottingham but i just started workin in derby and they dont play it which sucks.
id like to see it come in but i doubt it will

rules are different all around the world in croatia you must pocket black in opposite pocket to where you potted last ball

Lots of mad rules, a lot of which don't make sense.

- No hitting back table after in-off
- Ditto, unless if both players are on the black (!)
- No hitting back table after in-off IF both players are on the black (I think the guy who told me that had his wires crossed)
- Shot which sees the first ball of the frame potted resulting in in-off - incoming player chooses colour of potted ball and gets one shot, or chooses other colour and gets two
- Free ball can't be potted (fair enough)
- You can't use the free ball to plant your own ball in (tripe)

Etc!

The in-house rules of Funkypool don't seem set to change. I like the UK rules fine because it appropriately punishes the opponent. You can get away with more fouling in the other two; however the three fouls rule in 9 ball will discourage this.
