Hey all

"If you're Irish, come into the parlour", as the song says. Doesn't matter how many or how few want to take part, we'll give it a rattle and see how it goes.

UK 8 ball, straight knockout, open draw, byes in round 1 to level out the remaining competitiors to a power of 2 in the next round. Games are first to 3, semis are first to 4, final is first to 5... and all players must be IRISH!

So if're you're Irish and never take part in tournaments, here's a one-off chance to play among ourselves in our own little contest and become Irish champion. Roll up, roll up...! Last one in's a rotten egg!

I guess it starts as soon as no-one else wants to join, and the way it's gone so far nearly everyone who I sent the invitations out to has joined, so I can't say there'll be too long to wait before kick-off.

when do the games have to be played because not all of us players or on here at the same time

We'll see what happens if the round isn't finished after a few days but ideally the games should be played as soon as possible
