Good idea but when we had more game types ( us8 pro , us9 pro) some game types died out and didn't get the use that they needed to keep them.

no because they wouldn't be able to use them Mike, So would be a stupid idea

i like this idea but i think for it to work you would have to sacrfice another game type, Which i don't think would be a wise idea.

There are many different versions of pool in existence. Take UK 8 ball... when I first came to the site it wasn't the version of pool I played/ still do play in real life, but i had to compromise. The pool league where I live has different rules still. Funkypool can't cater for everyones different versions of pool, can it?
Australian pool (from what i've read above) seems to contain some of the rules I play ( such as you can't shoot up the table), but saying that UK 8 ball has some rules that I play (such as free ball when you've got carry, I bet half the people in Australia don't even play official Australian pool rules, like I don't play official UK pool rules... so what's the point?

Implementing killer... now THAT'S an idea

There is no such thing as 'official Australian Pool rules'. All we do is go to the pub and play. We have some rules that differ from pub to pub and from person to persons home; but 8 ball in Australia has those main rules at most locations

Im not saying that we should have 'Canadian pool' or 'Turkish pool'. My main point here is that Australians make up the 3rd majority of this website (behind the US and UK) and we have a different way of playing pool. I along with some other aussies on here wouldnt mind playing our own game on such an international website.

And im sure that this will cause some people to say 'then why not Iraqi pool (example ppl's)' but you would find that outside of Aus, UK and the US, the other countries of the world would go by American rules.

c'mon, where is everyone else gunna be from.

I only ever meet people form UK, US, Phillipines when im on. And even though there is a time difference, if there is a few poms still up when its midnight there, I cant see any Italians, Spanish or Greeks when im around....all hours of the day on a weekend.

I bet that Australia is one of the top countries that participate on Funkypool in member numbers, lieing about their country or not.....common sense

The number of Aussie's is growing, but you should not be quoting stats if you don't know. I don't even know

fair enough...still. yet the rules of the game is similer to other games, it is new and when you do play our version, it is rather different.

We dont play american pool or UK pool and those countries dont play our pool. So not only a new game on here would help, but also a bridge builder between the 3 countries.....I think we have to aggree that US, UK and Australia has the 3 distinct pool game styles.

i dont like the bumper pool idea. not becasue i want this one but Australian Pool is more of a serrious game of pool.

We have mini golf...it was a hit for a while before it was to easy. We have a fun ga,e, but personally, I would like to see another more serrious game come in. Something new for the guys that cant be beaten in anything else.
