This may have been mentioned before, but I cant find anything so...

In a ranked game, if a player scores a Golden Break or a Runout, the wining player gets his/hers points while the loser gets deducted points.

Because the lose did not lose as such, I think that the loser should not lose any points as he or she did not take a shot.

If you lose a game due to a great break or runout, shouldnt the other guy be rewarded without you paying.

Just a few points i know...but your still losing them

lol...2 GOLDEN BREAKS IN A ROW!!

they did lose the game if they clicked the rack button and the other person potted the black on a a legal shot before them

but i do sorta agree that they shouldnt lose points for it

Maybe this applies for golden breaks, but as far as run outs go I see no problem.

I agree with this idea for the Golden Breaks mainly due to them being potluck, but for Runouts i disagree they come down to the skill of the player

But then the same applies to you achieving a golden break, its a tactic you can employ to your advantage.

You could say what goes around comes around

Plus it puts the funky in funkypool

I see that some people dis agree with it on being runouts but because the losing person does not take a shot hence any part of the game, why should they lose points as they were just watching someone else win.

If they had taken a shot and lost, they have lost it. But when its a runout, it is skill by the other player, so why should the loser face the consequence??

The other person chose to play that person. Maybe they didn't know the other person knew how to get a golden break. As far as I'm aware there is a technique to it, but most of them are luck.
Same applies to runouts, the person chose to play.
Its a game at the end of the day.

you are totally missing the point there aussie. Its not the fact of losing the points...that doesnt bother anyone, the point is that why should you be punished for a losing a game when you have not even taken a shot.

some people like this, others say keep it the same. I would like to see a member of the admin to comment on this as this could be impplamented if the other members approve of this idea

It's EXACTLY the fact that you lose points.. Gosh, someone gets a GB or a run-out, congratulate them, its not like they do it everytime, quite the opposite infact and bottom line is you lost the frame...so you lose points, as it is a ranked game...dont like it? play friendlies and quit complaining...

i dont see a problem with run outs but with golden breaks i do, this is because if you pot the black off the break in real life you lose the game as its void, so i beleive the loser hasent really lost at all, now because this isnt real life i think there should be a comprimise, the golden breaker should get the win as they do, but the golden breakee shouldnt lose as they wouldnt in real life
