thats a good point. If we went with a 'locked in contract' thing, maybe you could be let go if you have a game invite, of any kind

As already said though, it's not going to happen.
The snooker option is the chosen system, and locking people in would solve nothing etiquette-wise anyway, because despite their name being present until the black's potted, they could be halfway down the shops.
