I do many fundraising events myself, 40 mile hikes, helping to organise bike rides, bag packing at supermarkets etc.

sorry m8 but it seems a bit of a contradiction, its all good you doing what you do for charity and i commend you on your actions....but isnt what you doing a 'pressure begging thing'?
In my opinion charity in any shape or form is very worthwhile, but ultimately as you called it 'begging and pressure to give'
as far as im concerened, its too pull at the heart and purse strings and i, like yourself am happy to participate.

You dont live in/near manchester do you? i will put my name down for one of your bike rides if you do

I do the bike ride things with the local council back 'home' near birmingham, but I live in Manchester at the moment. An by the way, you wouldn't be needing petrol..its all cycling bike rides

I agree it does seem a bit of a contradiction but I know exactly where the money is going when i'm doing these events normaly. I also tend not to raise much cash but lots of awareness about the events because I dont like asking people for money, leaving it up to them if they want to contribute or not.

+ Yes spinner, tax and all the rest of it is a pain and spent stupidly
