Very funny...

Well due to work i've not done anything this year, but i have had my head bleached, hair dyed blue, and a haircut that had to be seen to be believed (Dave knows the one i mean) so i dont feel too bad missing this year.

my child was in need for good old 'daddy time'(as usual lol) so charity was at home, although i did buy some cakes that the learning support students at work, made for children in need, so i bought some on the understanding that if you alienated the fat and sugar content, they were actually good for you.
and the money went to a good cause

I didn't even know it was on again till it came on the tele.

I personaly dont agree with it (in a sense). Begging for your money shouldn't be put on the TV and the pressure put on people to do so is wrong. I'm not saying helping children in need is wrong, far from it, but I think the money could easily be made in other ways. (The first Eurofighter jet cost over £18,000,000,000 to produce..why bother?).

Then other donations can be from the choice of people wanting to donate, not being pressured into it.

Lmao!

How is a TV show being pressuring?

It is merely a brilliant form of propoganda

I actually agree mate.
Ok, it's for a good cause but people should not be forced to do things if they don't want to.
I did contribute to it, if it wasn't for the advertising.

It Just shows the mass generosity of the people and the lengths people will go too to help children.
Of course its begging, but its done in a high spirited and humanly way and no one gives a chuff if some people percieve it as that....we are all entitlled to an opinion.
Its also another way of being proud to be british, what other nation does charitable events on such a scale and as many as we do??????

Negativity helps nobody

I do many fundraising events myself, 40 mile hikes, helping to organise bike rides, bag packing at supermarkets etc.

This is from me wanting to help people and I do it throughout each year.

This might be why i've got such a negative attitude towards the children in need day, I feel I do my bit and don't like people trying to make me feel guilty that I dont help out enough.

Of course raising awareness is a good thing and the way people do help is brilliant. It's just not really the way I like to go about helping out in the world.
