When i was a wee one, if i fell, i never blamed the council for the dodgy pavement, or the school for broken ground, i blamed myself for running and not watching where i'm going.
This world is turning into a joke, apparently can't run in a school now, also i heard that a guy in USA sued Mcdonalds for making him fat (not having fat content labels on purchases)
And the other one being sueing Disney when a kid spotted Mickey Mouse character taking his suit off...
Personally, i think the concept of childrens "tough" way of learning can't live in this day and age...which is a shame.

Banning running etc isnt really down what i'd call PC.
Thats a result of the "who can i blame" society.

to answer your question, yes it has, well with alot of people anyway
the "who can i blame" scenario reminds me of a david firth animation, its taken a bit far but its an amusing watch; http://www.fat-pie.com/thechildthatsmeltfunny.htm
i think a bit of politcal correctness can be good to avoid insulting people, but like all things there are people who like to take things too far

Political correctness has come into existence simply because so many people now appear to be born without the simple values of decency and common sense.

i wouldnt say "way of life", but some terms that have been used in the past and accepted have been recognised by groups as (for arguments sake)"racially insensitive", "sexist" etc, in this sense political correctness has a place in society i think where the said term is infact founded as being offensive to the people its aimed at... on the other hand when taken too far where youre basially wrapping everyone in metaphorical bubble wrap incase they get offended by something that could possibly be conceived to be somewhat offensive somehow... is silly

i think it went too far when the words to 'Bah bah black sheep ' were changed, and not allowed to be sung in schools anymore.
also, i see not the point in racism even being a factopr anymore, if anything these days white people are discriminated against. When was the last time someone was arrested or banned from anywhere for calling somebody 'white boy '

without anybody thinking im racist or un pc in anyway ( which can get you banned off most chat sites ) i would just like to say that as a race the english have the worst of it ( doesnt matter what colour). people can be proud to say that they are welsh, scottish or irish and good on them but if you say you are english and want to fly the george cross ( for eg when england play ) you are branded a racist and told to say you are british. i know that being english has been used a lot in the past in rightwing politics to defend race attacks but there are a lot of us out there that would like to say "im english" whatever our race, colour or creed without fear of some leftwing group pigeon holing us into some sort of racist box. the english race ( and by that i dont mean just whites ) is being systematically destroyed by the people who were sworn to protect it all because they want to be pc.

Unlucky I wouldnt consider anybody who is patriotic as being a racist or un-pc, the point of pc is that all of a sudden, EVERYTHING is considered "racist" which is ridiculous..
Over here if a foreigner is arrested for any offence they exclaim that the cops are racist because they've been nicked.. this type of behaviour is a disgrace but is overlooked by the powers that be because they dont want Ireland to be considered a "racist country" in the eyes of the world...
Can you imagine goin to Saudi Arabia and taking out a christian cross on the street..(you wont be coming home)...and who dares calls them racist. How many times have you heard a comendian slandering catholicism on TV, yet wouldnt dare deride Islam, because its PC
I'll always consider myself an Irishman, and NEVER a European and I've no doubt the majority of British would consider themselves by the nationality..but what can we do. Just fly your own flag, the rest of britian will follow..

Well, political correctness has hit an all time high with the censoring by the BBC of, in my opinion, the best Xmas song ever, Fairytale of new york.
Check the BBC news site if you dont believe me!
As a freind of mine said "If they're gonn do that, they have to censor the flintstones too"

Just read that spinner, what a joke...
"Parfitt said the song, a duet between Pogues frontman Shane MacGowan and the late MacColl, did not use that word with any "negative intent"."
Censoring that word (which we all know if we read the article) so it would not offend listners, why not do it years ago then? why now?

GITS!
First they make me pay a TV licence for these over-paid, idiotic, aristocrats! Now they're banning one of my fave songs. The sad thing is I stopped watching BBC ages ago, if it wasn't for the rugby (six nations) I'd never watch it. Unfortunatly my wife couldn't go without her Eastenders or Holby City.....
They pay that idiot Graham Norton stupid amounts of money to not even do what he does best (tell his own jokes) make silly amounts of chanels then sack the 'real' workers of the organisation saying they haven't the money, I mean, how much longer must the British public pay for these Queen loving money grabbing <GRRRRRRR>
<End of rant>
As you might have guessed, I'm not a fan of the BBC.

Problem is, no Muslim is bothered about Christmas, why would it offend them?
And you got culture mixed up with religion in regards to the teacher who they wanted dead for offending pig headed men with nothing else to do other than be offended. No Muslim would really be offended by her in Britian, hence me saying it's more of a culture thing....

you know what the problem with this country and government is dont ya, were too god damn polite, we worry too much about other countrys feelings and what they will think of us, i feel sorry for all the true brittish people in this country, because it pays these days to be an immigrant, even in our own land.. i also feel sorry for the aussies, now they have voted labour into power over there, they will soon turn out like us over here, lack of jobs, increasing dole dossers, and full of immigrants both legal and illegal.. the world is turning into madness lmao
