Does anyone think that it would be a good idea to have these for use in practice mode, possibly one on ones aswell? just a suggestion for added entertainment and also replays/undo's for practicing those tight shot situations.

Perhaps the features could be part of options before you create a game that way you can have the option of allowing/dissalowng certain things. And the chip-shot was more of a novelty thing really...but would be kinda cool to seven ball someone finishing on a chip-shot lmao!!

I personally like the gameplay as it is...

Whether or not introducing such gameplay factors as curved shots will complicate things too much.

I am pretty sure this has been mentioned before but surely a 3D view would have to be introduced to apply the chip feature.

I think chip shots is a good idea along with the others.

Lol if chip shots were to be introduced into gameplay have you considered the affect this would have upon players (such as myself) who like to use tactical snookers to gain advantage.

If you could simply chip the cue ball this advantage would be lost.

The reason why I accepted the idea of swerve shots is that I speculated that they would be more complex to pull off an effective swerved shot to escape a snooker.

Bearing in mind the whole use of spin would be severly affected as swerving would require spin to be pulled off, however, when you dont want to use swerve but want some spin you may end up swerving it...

All leading to my conclusion again that gameplay is currently perfect and in my opinion needs no alterations.

Chip shots would be too hard to code I'd think. Curve shots would be easier but its upto the staff. Personally I don't think the actual gameplay needs any updates.

All these shots, curve included, would require a 3D game engine and therefore a complete re-write of the games physics.

Note again that i only mean the game engine, not the display.

Simplicity of play it both the aim of the funkysites, and the biggest attraction.

I agree with spinner there.

Also, using chips and curve shots would make an easy run-out if you've got a good break that spreads the ball well.

It would take the competitive side out of the game if breaking and clearing up was that easy!

It would just be a matter of who breaks.

I'm on the fence here,
I like massee shots but it does take a certain skill to play it on the table and the same with jump shots, but on the table there wouldn't be the same skill so I guess I agree with SM.
I guess i'd like to see some kind of feature with it possible having limitaions on usage.
And maybe full useage in practice.
I'm guessing that it wont be that easy to code though

I dont think its totally neccessary to introduce a 3-d engine cos what could be done is as the cue ball is chipped it would just go from the original size to larger(representing air-time) then smaller as it nears the table.
