The Australian $5 to $100 notes are made of plastic.
This is so that they can keep their money in their pocket while they go surfing, because more than 75% of the australians surf.

It's so they don't get damaged basically, you can't set fire to them without some sort of flammable adheisive, and you can't rip them without a sharp object.
