i like a few of them ideas.Wouldnt mind seeing newbies banned from tournaments to be honest, there is too many fake newbies

5. Ad's on Forums. There is plenty of in-game ads, without extra ones causing the forum to be slower and taking up space.
7. Edit profile colours Like Nick said before, he doesn't want funkypool to become a myspace clone.
8. Killer pool. This will eventually be added as a replacement for the Pro games.

Yup but they would be able to play them once they have played the 100 games.
They still would be able to play ranked games though.

If they did have to wait until they lost the newbie status might make tournaments even more popular?
And make them more enjoyable for others, personally i hate newbies i no i was once one but the chancies of getting a real newbie are rare.
Good 80 % of newbies i get are already pro's that are just playing on another account

But in a tourney game the satus of the other player makes no difference at all surely - or are you saying you play differently against what you consider may be a lesser opponent? If so, thats a recipe for disaster in anyone's book. Always give each opponent full respect.

Soon as i see adept inter or newbie whole game goes out of the window.
also annoying you get to a final your against a newbie , they win 10mins later there banned ...last month alone i could count for atleast 20 maybe even 30 tournies won by newbies and they have been banned with in a few hours of winning them

Presumably for cheating in ranked games because you cant cheat in tourney games. At least those ones have been caught and banned in the end. I think we all know there are a few less than honest players around on this site mate but just view it as that, like cheating in a round of golf, the only person they really cheat and delude at the end of the day is themself!!

i agree with si on the newbie status in tornies, many more probally do to but wont admit it, i say if you cant post on forum till you have played 100 games the same should go to playing in tournies

Sorry but I just don't see what the problem is with newbies and tournies. The absolute beauty of a tourney in this site is that it is a completely level playing field in that anyone can be drawn against anyone else. The same cannot be said for ranked games. I can understand why someone would be upset losing ranked games to a fake newbie but not a tourney game.

porky_pig Why should you be able to play tournys but not post as a newbie? should be the other way around.
I have nothing against playing inter , adepts , just newbies 80% of the time are fake.and as i said amount of newbies that have been banned this month after winning tournaments is becoming a joke.If they was to be made to play the 100 games before bein able to play this might stop them re-ofending over and over again.

there shouldnt be any problems with newbies and tourneys, as it is a level playing field, yeh some newbies are fake but they get found out soon as they make semi's, and if people play different when they see the newbie sign and see the pro sign, then ots your own fault if you underestimate them and lose, rankings are the problem as they are fixed, and more cheaters are being noticed, but when everyone enters the tourney there is zero % chances of fixing, if you lose to newbies, or fake newbies, then thats part of game, but fakes do get found out, and only cheat themselves

I don't know but presumably to stop you creating an account to abuse the forum and post unsavoury comments. You cannot abuse a tournament as a newbie.

I stand by my point that newbies should have to earn the right to play tournaments.30uk tournies won by newibies and banned hours later, something surely has to be done about this
its not fair on the poeple who deserve to win them and have there first tourny win on ther profile.
not have it robbed off them by some one who is goin to be banned soon after

that is very annoying, but stopping all newbies taking part in tourneys because of a small minority of cheaters and fakes aint the way to do it in my opinion

Sorry Si - last comment for me too (nice to have a bit of friendly debate though) - If they were banned I wouldn't mind betting it was for cheating in the ranked games. I agree with _wolvesdude_ in that if there is a problem with the site - that is where the problem lies not with the tournies.
