American Gangster

I saw this last night and have to say it's one of the best films i've seen in a good while. It's two and a half hours long, but you don't notice the time because the storyline is so engrossing and the performances from Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe are absolutely superb.

You'll be pleasantly surprised with this effort if you enjoy gangster films such as Scarface and Goodfellas. It's also a true story, which mostly gives a movie a nice edge to the tension inducing parts, and there are a good few of these!

Saw 4, Dying to see that, since i don't really know where the story can go from the 3rd one, should be exciting.

Anyone going to see it this weekend???

I've not seen any of the Saw films...they never really appealed to me, dont see the point in having a film just full of gore. Its not enjoyable viewing.

I thought 28 weeks later was better than 28 days later...I did see them the wrong way round though (weeks then days) so that might have swayed my opinion a little.

I saw Football Factory for the first time 2 nights ago, not a bad film but not as good as I was told it would be.

Ratatouille is GREAT! one of Disney and Pixar's better ones, I have to say. Lots of good morals in this movie.

The first two Saw films were great, and very clever. The third one tanked for me though. I was just bored. I'd have gone for ratatouille too!

"Lifted", the short film played before it is fantastic! I'd happily pay to watch that!

Watched License to Wed tonight. MUCH better that i expected, and plenty of cameo's for fans of the Office.

However, the film i'll reccomend most right now is Brand on the Brain -a different, eerie, creepy and twisted story told in a very old fashioned way.

I guess you'd either love it or hate it, and i loved it!

Hot Rod - i know its been out a while but i've only just seen it.

Absolutley briliant. Maybe not for everyone, but for those of us who grew up with Evel Knievel toys its perfect!
