Im on the fence with this one..lol..I see both sides.

Non - smokers shud NOT be forced to inhale smoke from others

Smokers - Should not be singled out and be made to feel bad cos they do smoke

I'm not a smoker, but is it really that much just walking a few paces to the door and smoking outside?

And i'm sure some decent places will offer shelter in case of rain.

Speaking of rain, the ban couldn't have come at a worse time lol

Paula ~ you sit on so many fences, you in danger of seriously splintering your J - Lo.

But I'm with ya on this one.......weve had the Ban here in Wales since March, and i hate being left inside while my mates have to go outside the pub for a fag

I'm gonna be in the same boat as you Stella, all my mates smoke. I'm gonna miss having the odd cigar over a pint of smooth and tot of whisky, but never mind I totally understand the non-smokers opinions, and they shouldn't be forced to inhale other people smoke. I'm glad I stopped the fags 5 years ago.

I'm a non-smoker, but I don't tend to have a problem with others smoking around me. The only time it really bothers me is if a room/pub/etc is really smoky but generally it doesn't get that bad. Smoking and non-smoking areas can't work, so the only way to reduce passive smoking is through a total ban in enclosed spaces

here's one thing i don't get instead of the smoking ban wouldn't it be far easier just to remove cigarettes from the shelves ?

Too much tax money in them for that to happen

Smoking has been socially unacceptable for a long time now, it wont be long 'till it simply fades away as pastime of our uneducated ancestors.

oits great! saying you dont mind sitting round smoker, well when you are diagnosed with cancer through passive smoking i wonder if ypu will say the same thing? and it helping save other people lives, the smokers moan how bad it is to smoke tell everyone not to etc... then this is helping them,

my grandad didnt drink, smoke and was a healthy guy, but died of lung cancer thourhg passive smoking. if it happens to anybody close to you you will feeel the same way as me.

its great, i mean its trying to help save your flipping life for crying out loud, when your six feet under your going to wish ya didnt smoke anyway.

i totally agree i was on placement today and the boss said purposely don't smoke because of the ban but after a while he started to smoke in public with people passing by.but on the over hand it's like the government is dictating what people should and shouldn't do.
