It has come to my attention recently that the top ten on the overall list, and I'll name them - cityfan84, virtuoso7, smithbit, _anaconda_, sharp7, bully1, madmiketyson, nick87, lordpool and rich - have been the same top 10 for quite some time, and are all outstanding players who are very difficult to beat in all game disciplines. I'd just like to be the first to congratulate you 10 for admirable and enviable consistency up there

There's also quite a bit of daylight currently between 10th and 11th, a mark of the different class of these 10 players. Particulare congrats to rob (cityfan84) for being a regular number 1

I echo niallisgreat's comments. All great players and fully deserving of their places in the table - well done to you all.

Important to remember though that the list is overall top 10 in Ranking games only. Can think of some players, one obvious person in particular (quick_pot), who would easily be well up there in any list of 'the' top 10 players in funkypool based on performances in open competitions against any, and all, opponents.

Did used to play rank and in my opinion it is a hell of a lot harder, and more of a challenge, to win peak time tournaments (7-12 pm UK time) than it is to get to the stage in the ranks where you just generally end up sharing the points against fellow top ranked players because you are closely matched. The beauty of this site however is that everyone can play exactly the type of games they want to play. It just can't, at the moment, identify a definitive a list of the top players across the board - but nevermind that's what feeds these debates and makes it interesting!!

i know you used to but have you ever stayed in the top ten overall for ages? you are a good player and no doubt could do it. it is a challenge to win the peak time tournys but mainly because so many people enter and it takes 2 and a half hours to finish the tourny lol.
i still like the idea of having a definitive top ten of everything though i doubt id get in it.
when i have got in top 3 overall ill start entering more tournys again. thats the plan any lol
