Whats going on how come we are just signing players on free transfers? Man Utd have spent £50m and may be more, does that mean they are trying too buy the title like people accused us (Chelsea fc) of doing when we spent bundles of cash??? Or unless Man Utd fans think that Hargreaves, Anderson and Nani came through their rank but some how magically they went to the other teams whom they are paying combined of £50m!!!!!!!! I am not jealous because they are spending money and we ain't. we have the best squad in the country without doubt as long as they stay fit unlike last season we should win the title and possibly the Champions League.

Man Utd and Chelsea...and indeed Liverpool and Arsenal could all be accused of 'buying the title' if they were to win it as they've all spent tens of millions in the last few years, although Chelsea have spent the most its still a worthwhile point, in the eyes of other clubs not in the same league financially its that way.

However at least Man Utd use a core of English players, although i have heard this is because of sponser pressure to do so so maybe thats not as admirable as first thought.

i agree this season man utd are trying to buy the title, chelsea havent tried to, so this time man utd should get same stick that chelsea got lol

you want to no why chelsea aren't trying to 'buy' the title?. The reason they haven't spent million's this summer is because roman abromavich has said no to giving chelsea the large transfer budget thay have been used to.

it has been said that they have to use the money that have earnt, this is all because mourinho and abramovich's disagreament's over the last few month's, if jose was sacked chelsea would of been given the million's we was given ( mufc ).

Didn't Chelsea spend 160 million or something daft when buying the title? I think 50 million on 3 top quality players is good (in football terms, i think it's silly money) so i think it's good!

to be fair chelsea havnt bought the title this year there just gona settle for ruining a couple of fine young players careers in sidwell and tal ben haim

Does that mean that Chelsea fans are jealous of Man U? 'Cause it seems there is a lot of attacking towards Man U and their transfer budget from Chelsea fans.

Also, what's to say Chelsea wont splash out millions on 'Top Class' players? It's the middle of June and there is still 2 months to go until the season starts and 2 and a half months until the transfer window closes.

Also, people are saying that these players are 'Amazing' but havn't seen them play in the Premiership at all. Last year Chelea spent 30 Million on 1 player (Shevchenko) and look what he did.

To be honest, it's just a matter of time until more will go on in the way of spending money (Especially from Chelsea) in my opinion. The season after missing out on the title they're not going to spend nothing, of course they are going to do what they can (Which normally includes splashing out massive amounts of money) to get it back.

I think that Man U need a couple of new players. There is no doubt they have a decent squad, they just need some new blood.
But I believe that Chelsea are trying to prove to themselves (and their fans) that they can win the title without spending millions like other teams used to be able to do.

Man Utd are buying players that they think will help their squad. Giggs is getting old, Saha is a walking injury, Smith also...

Whereas Chelsea bought players they didnt particularly need, just to prevent other clubs that are interested in them, from having them....SWP
