What if members bar was no more and the chatroom would have a maximum of 100 occupants.

By doing this i think this would benifit the Moderators and Members.but would say mainly Moderators

It would help the Moderators by , making it easier for them maintain and keep the unwanted members at bay making it more "user friendly ".

I understand this could be difficult for the moderators at times even more so if there is only one moderator online but, this has to be alot easier than swtiching from room to room, when they could be missing alot of unwanted behaviour whilst swapping from room to room.
Also with the recently added "chatter feature " this could help alot with having 100 occupants , and eliminate the vast majority of bad behaviour.

For the Members it would mean no more having to wait around for occupants to leave the chatroom in order to get into it and it would mean you would be able to talk to a larger group of people,

actually i really like this idea alot because sometimes the "chat room" is full and i have to go into a different room if this idea was implemented users could benifit from it however the only downside is what if there's only one moderator online and they are constantly getting complaints about users etc for this idea to work effectivly i think there should be a "trusted member".

However, most of the time there are at least two mods online at a time... and the admin is always reviewing applicants, so I don't think the question of not enough mods will be a problem..

I think it would be easier with the current amount of Moderators that are availble at the moment.
Having more Moderators would just make it even easier

Also you have members that use the send complaint feature this also helps the Moderators even tho they can not actually boot anyone they are still helping

I thinks its a bad idea!! You ever been in chat room when the erm.. lets say " not so friendly ppl" are there? Imagine like..70 of them to 30 ok ppl?? Nope im againt it! Sorry Si

i understand what your saying paula but surely if someone is being disrespectful towards other members then people will send a complaint and a admin will look into that chat log.

No Its not that..I mean when there are 50 ppl in there already, and the majority of them are arguing or throwing abuse, we can hardly get a word in! Chat goes way to fast cos theres that many ppl typing at once and ya miss half of what pll have sed lol.At least now ppl can go to members.
Saying that tho, atm members is usually empty

But that is what the " chatter option " is there for it makes thechat dialog box larger making it easier to keep up with the chat

There are pro's and cons to both ideas.

We are pretty much at capacity chat wise now, with 40+ users regularly in the members bar at busy times (whilst he chatroom is full)

From both a moderating and chatting point of view, i'd much rather see more rooms with smaller numbers.

More rooms would mean more movement = harder to maintain i would say .
Where as if there was one big chatroom would be alot easier to maintain especailly if only the one Moderator online

Yo could also think of it this way....All mods in one room!! They wud be falling over each other to boot

Exactly Paula! Multiple rooms with smaller numbers is much easier to manage, and i think would provide a more pleasant chatting experience for users.

But then there's also the "switching" rooms by us mods... There might be a problem in the Members chat room, in which case if there is only one mod, then they'd have to keep switching back and forth between Chat Room and Members room. This has happened to me a few times, even though I am usually lucky that there has been another mod online at the time to help.
