Total dead rubber. Whoever wins, your perceived best 5 players will play for whichever team goes through. It renders the fixture pointless. The system needs changing next season.
Not a dig at Pro's btw, I just think it's a failing in the system. It gives your 5 best players an extra life - that Snooker Squad's best 5 players won't have. An advantage that the best team in the league probably doesn't need! :)

I think if you're a player that's played for one of the teams that have been knocked out, you shouldn't be allowed to play in the next round! I really like this SL, but think it would be so much better if every squad was set in stone.

I really don't think its that much of a big deal if I'm honest with you, let's say Pete for snooker squad hasn't played for the whole super league season and seb has used a total of 11 players then Pete is back for the final isn't it kinda the same?

No, because he hasn't played for one team. The issue I have is that a player could play for a losing team, get knocked out, and yet still play in the later rounds/final for the same clan.

Still would be out of order to someone who got then there, I'm not completely disagreeing with you stu but it does add an element of unpredictability not knowing what team someone is going to put out.
No, because he hasn't played for one team. The issue I have is that a player could play for a losing team, get knocked out, and yet still play in the later rounds/final for the same clan.

It depends on how you look at the tournament, all clans had the opportunity to put in two teams, so no one has an advantage over an other clan, there are pros and cons on having one and two teams, it is very much each team to their own. SS have one team so if they want to, they can play their best 5 players every game. For clans with 2 teams, they could play their best 5 in one team and choose others for the other team or they may split their best players which will weaken their team so if they are playing SS they are handicapped. It is a choice for each clan captain to make. I have swapped players since the start and i will continue to do so. The ultimate captain display and all round team performance would be to get both pros teams into the final game, if one team fails i will then change my focus and put everything into the remaining team going onto win the event. I have been left to run the super league team and i have made those decisions from what i believe is the correct way for the 2 pros teams to perform and i would hope that all the team players would agree with that. Some see the 2 pros teams as being separate teams and some clans choose to run them stand alone, i see them as being the same team and utilising the squad as required.
