I think it should stay the way it is. I think it works fine, also i think people learn at different speeds, that is why it works so well the way it is.

Do people get the newbie status when they reset their accounts?

yeah they do i think once they reset it should go straight to intermediate because it's giving a false impression there a newbie when there clearly not.<edited spelling>

But they are probs not at the level of an intermediate either.

The way it is now protects the higher ranked players and the new players that join the site.

The only people it doesn't really benefit too much is the players who reset, which discourages them from doing so which is a good thing i think.

I'm normaly a believer in 'if it aint broke, hit it with something heavy' but in this case I reckon it should be left as it is

Maybe they shouldn't have any status until they've played a certain amount of games. Or maybe RESET as their status?

I seem to recall this being mentioned somewhere else, but good to see a thread for it!

I agree that those who reset should have something to indicate the difference from a new user.

Sure, you can find out by checking thier profile, but it would be nice to see immediately.
