I was browsing a few members profiles earlier and saw that there could be quite a few easy additions to them to improve their overall appearance.
Streaks
This would display how many wins/losses a user has had in a streak. For example, If I won 6 in a row, it'd come up as 6 wins, but if I then lose three, it'd come up as 3 losses.
Last Tournament Finish
This would state what tournament round the user achieved in his last tournament, who knocked them out, and also link them to the tournament with their name highlighted, as we see when somebody wins a tournament and we recap over the rounds.
Totals
The amount of balls a user has potted, the amount of fouls, the amounts of each colour potted, etc.
Level Tournaments
I think it's unfair to see professionals face newbies in tournaments. Perhaps add tournaments just for the level of user? IE - Adepts tournament, Newbies tournament and professionals tournament.
These are just suggestions.

Maybe a tournament for under 700s (intermediate and most newbies) would be a good idea. I dont think anyone ranked higher than that needs a separate tournament though as most of them are capable of winning the regular tournaments.
Profile additions seem like a good idea (at least, i can't see a reason why they shouldn't be added).

Seeding in tourneys would be a nice stat, but shouldnt affect the layout.
The biggest attraction of the tourneys is that they mix up all players.
I'm sure a users streak used to be displayed, maybe back in poolsharks?
I'd like to see that one return

I don't remember a streak stat on pool_sharks.
I'm well into statistics, so I'd like to see as many as are available. Especially streak stats.
Number of games won by combo or by 3 fouls in 9ball would be an interesting one too.

Keep the tournaments as they are. The best thing about them is that they are randomly generated, and also the rankings don't mean anything anyway. There's plenty of bandit newbies around, and I for one pay more attention to tournaments than rankings.
Anyway, having tournaments for rubbish players only would discredit the tournament win stats, and like Martin, I love statistics. Anything that devalues good stats should not be implemented and that means handing out tourny wins to rubbish players!

I love every idea in that. Look at Yahoo. They have win/loss and they are the crapyest pool game. SO why doesnt the best pool game have win/loss streaks???
Every idea is good but some ranked just above 700 might derlibrately slip down below 700 just so they can win a torny.
Im a 701 in 9 ball so even I would consider losing 1 to get into the Intermediate tornys.
How bout pro tornys where 750 and above can go nuts against there rank, 800's cant enter the "middle class" tornys (700-799??) and newbies have their own torny to make some new friends/rivals!
