why don't people take their shots, by this i mean random shots when ther're not responding?? i thought that was the point of random shots... you know to kick in when ther're not respnding?!?

could be that its not there fault, perhaps a 'hitch' with modern technology in anyway it rears its ugly head
or even a time delay
there could be loads of reasons why things happen, just try not to put blame on your opponent.

I think this was asked before, and i think the answer was that there is a slight time difference between you and the other player, so sometimes it might look like they haven't taken there shot in time when in actual fact they have!

I'm sure spinner and co. will be able to expand, as you all know i'm a tech tard!

Just to clarify - The random shots are there to penalise someone when they dont take the shot within the time limit.

If they're not responding, it means its not thier fault, so therefore they shouldnt be penalised.

but once what happened to me was that i was in the quarter finals of a 9 ball pro tournament ages ago and there was only just over 1 minute left and we where on the black and the 9 was rite by the hole an the 8 was easy aswell but he stopped responding, we ran out of time and just over a minute later he left the room and i guess logged off if the random time penalty happened while he wasn't responding this wouldnt of happened!!
