I was thinking that it might be better if you could reset only certain game stats...like your 8 ball stats or 9ball stats..you get the point...I guess this could be abused.but its just a thought what do u guys think?

Its been discussed a lot before, and i'm sure if Nick thinks it's worthwhile he would impliment it.

On the same subject, i think a players re-set history should be "sticky" on thier history..

'Game scores reset for violating fair play guidelines'

We should make this sticky as well, especially when they do it more than once. Why do some players think it's smart to cheat an online poor game, when in reality it's one of the most un-cool things you can do?

Anyway, back to the topic. This is what Nick said last time around, and i agree.

If you could reset only certain stats it would be very easy to get "perfect stats". Also it would look incorrect if you had played 0 games yet had 25 seven ballings.

Hence when you reset your stats you lose all your stats.

well what i meant was not just your 7 ball stats or what ever..like all of ur 8 ball stats..so like if you clicked on reset my 8 ball stats everything including 7balling and tourny wins would go back to 0..i do understand it can be abused tho..just curious..because my 9 ball stats arent horrid but my 8ball uk stats are awefull lol..so yea thats all

I really hope you're gonna edit that typo pool_life - or you my not be an admin on this poor site for long

Agreed 100% about the sticky suggestion - seems wrong that it should dissapear from thier history so relatively quickly.

(apologies for going OT - but you pretty much sorted the on-topic enquiry!)

I see what you're saying, but remember the stats re-set isn't there to fix bad stats, its for the people who enjoy the challenges that can be had, without making the forum etc messy with "Deleted users" everywhere.

(thats why i suggested before that stats re-set could be limited to those of 750 or 800 rank and possibly a game count limit too)

Ah, but it's always nice to include a typo in a correction post - helps to soften the blow a little.

Honesty...

Like pool_life said, the ability to reset certain game stats would mean you would be able to get almost perfect stats, basically...if you want to reset your stats that badly, you need to delete them all.

I like the way it works out, means we can't get people with good stats in one game, reset on another all the time. For example:

mr_mcquiston: UK 8 ball, Virtouso - 999.9
US 8 ball, Adept - 720.5

A lot of users reset even if they lose a game. So i think it's very fair the way the system is at the moment.

I think the way it is at the moment is fine. However there is always room for improvement with everything (apart from the UK 8 ball table ).

I'd like it so your total stats are recorded, however you can reset your stats which creates a new set of stats so that you can see at what standard you are playing at.

Playing a new game would then add to both the 'all time' thingy, and also the 'current stats' of each user.

I'd like to reset my account to see how i'd do but cant bring myself to do it lol this is the only way that I would.

But personally I think that if you reset one, it should be that you reset all.

Not many people on here are good at every single game on here, so why should we make it that you can reset one when one type of game goes out of hand?

Its good seeing what peoples strengths and weeknesses are.

We all cant be Mr Perfects like quick_pot or sharp7, so why waste our times trying to perfect a game your week at by keep reseting stats? Wouldnt you rather just excel at the games you ARE good at and perhaps get to the top of the standings??

Keep it the same. Reset one, reset all!
