The fact that he references nothing, quantifies nothing, and substantiates nothing tells something!

Are you feeling ok Magic?
All the sources and procedures are detailed and linked to.
No point in copying and pasting hundreds of items from the NVD when people can just look them up themselves.
But hey, i got it as part of the "why we're upgrading" package from the IT security Dept, and was just passing it on for those who may be interested.

Or if you want it to run anywhere near well, take the 'Premium requirements' as the minimum you need, and double most of it if you want to run Vista Premium.

Good advice Schildiner.
"Vista Capable" is about equivalent to saying a 300Mhz P2 with 128Mb Ram is XP capable.
It will run, but you have to be patient!
There is a wide range of hardware specs across the Vista range, so its worth bearing the exact OS in mind.
On a similar subject. there is an interesting case going on with Dell and Microsoft just now, with them having sold "Vista Capable" machines, which aren't Vista capable anymore...

(ps i didnt buy laptop because of the vista install, i bought it because of the nice shiny blue lights!
Now there's a man who has a sensible attitude to computing.
I'm not kidding either, i really do agree with that approach! Shiny flashy thinks rock~!

Personally i wouldnt go anywhere near Vista until im upgraded to a Duo processor. And i wont be doing that until AMD produce one (a real one not 2 running side by side, which they do atm)
Also, Vista is for kids! Just like macs!
Pretty pretty colours. But definite lack of cojones.
