i've just sent a complaint to admin but there is still abuse going on racism etc in the chat room.

so i decided i would tlk to a moderator online about it.

so i went and clicked on find player then find mod.

a pm window popped up so i was typing away explaining my problem and in reply i got this... "<player> ignores private message requests while competing."

now then how is that helpful... theres a mod online and i cant tlk to him. oh and even if there is another mod available the only one that i can tlk to is this one who ignores me.

shud this be allowed or should they keep their pm's free?

iv never known a mod do that before dont think that should be allowed tho did you go in the room where he was and tell him you needed a word

As i understand it mods cant ignore PM's. However, that would be very unfair.

Mods are players too, and if you're in the final of a tourney you really want to be left alone for a bit.

If you've sent the report thats all you have to do. There are plenty of threads explaining why

i agree with you there spinner but if theres only one mod online and its a serious problem it needs to be dealt with

This is going to sound harsh, BUT i dont mean it to be.....Should they be moderating at all then?? My opinion is: If people apply to moderate the site, then they should be free to help when they are online even if they are in a tourny.

The situation you mentioned was a split-second one off dudey.

I spoke to the mod in question. He was receiving a barrage of pm's from 2 abusive users. He was in a game, and so used the function to complete the game before dealing with the users in question.

This is something he had every right to do, and he switched ignore off immediately afterwards.

Please stop picking holes in the moderating team dudey. This is the third time in a week.

We're unpaid and doing our best, and when certain people have a pop publicly at every opportunity, it cause mods to wonder what the point is.
