I'm a huge transformers fan, we did a "Transformers Appreciation Night" in our town hall in 2006, with a showing of the original movie and a selection of presentations.

Whilst the new movie will undoubtably be a visual feast, the storyline and charaters bear no relevance to the "real" transformers. Which is almost totally down to Michael Bay. A real shame, especially when Spielberg was announced the original director..

Making Optimus prime a blue long nosed peterbilt with red flames is unforgivable!

They did what!? Typical, i had hoped it would try and stay true to the 'real' transformers bit like x-men tried, and spiderman!

Well going by the recommendation above by pool_life I watched 'the prestige'
It was realy good but you really need to be concentrating to watch it, which I wasn't and that kinda ruined it. I'll have to watch it again!
