hi,i was wondering could these features be added like the ability to raise the cue height so you can have the option to do a jump shot, when you click to watch a game could it be possible to see the game as it currently stands, one idea which could be good is instant replay and finally how about a overall stats board on your profile. if anyone thinks these are good ideas feel free to post. if any of these ideas have been mentioned before then i apologize in advance.

Well i dont think Nick want to move from the 2d table, and they're pretty hard to setup otherwise..
Then again, watch this space! LOL

I like the sound of jumpshots, but wouldn't that make it too easy for the really good players?
For example, imagine a virtuoso had a ball in the way of theirs, they would just have to jump it and pot it, i reckon snookers would be useless if this was to come into play.
But hey, i'm all for moving forward!
Maybe if they just put it on the U.S games?

I agree, its fine the way it is and would practically render snookers useless most of the time i suppose
Other ideas look good to me

How about just making the game more realistic for example making it so you cant hit the bottom half of the cue ball while tight on a cushion.

I remember this being mentioned on poolsharks!
Biggest problem about these suggestions is the backlash from "leave it as it is" setimentalists.
Well, ok, its more than the sentimental thing. I believe Funkypools popularity is down to its easy playability. There are plenty of incredibly realistic 3D simulations out there if you really want that.
however, i would think there is a possibility of maybe introducing more real features like these now that we have both Pro and Arcade games.
The realism could be added to the pro games, and leave the Arcade games nice and simple.

Very goo dpoint spinner, If there were enough time to make the pro games 'simulation' style, though it would inevitably be far less popular. There are a hundred simulation on-line pool site's out there, all failing miserably.. Only one funkypool!

Ah, i do see your point Magic, but at the moment the two games are extremely similar, thus there isnt much motivation for users to move "up" to the pro game.
(I may be wrong, but i'd guess most of the players on the Pro tables are old hands who prefer the table they're used to..)
I'm not suggesting moving to full simulation, but improving the Pro games to include things like limited cue ball access when against a cushion, chalking the cue to avoid mis-cues etc could actually have the effect of attracting more (experienced, probably) users to the pro games.

US pool rules... because most of you seem to not know how to play a game...
if the ball jumps off the table for any reason... its a fowl.
If the black ball jumps off the table for any reason... you lose the game.
even for really experienced players on actual pool tables... a jumpshot isnt easy. there is no clear way to measure a shot.
