hey ppl just made this thread to c how many ppl play real pool/snooker i do i suk at it lol vsed my dad in snooker lost 79-9lol

i play pool often in real life prefer it to snooker

i was down the pub today they lads from cardiff was playing winner stays on.
all my mates said naa they very good!
so i tryed my luck had a 7baller on two of the guys and done a golden break on then i obv said the rules befor i started.


1st game: we was both on black and he was a very good player!
2nd game: i done a 7balling off break
3rd game: he was on black and i had 5 balls left so i snookerd and he got out of it so i snookerd again and he missed so i potted 3 balls and doubled the last 2 in still i had 2 shots left the black was on the pocket! potted it with a bit of back spin
4th game: another 7balling but not off break.
5th game: done a few stupid shots but got there in the end.
6th game: both on black and almost potted black and white! phew!"
7th game: he had 2 balls left he put me in a snooker.. just by luck i hit the black in middles pocket.
8th game: he had 1 ball left, i took it for a win!
9th game: yes! get in! Golden break
10th game: white and black at end

so every win i had a pint!! oh ye i got beaten after the 10th pint lol. i felt hammerd!

had a great time tho still a bit drunk now tho lol

LOL @ Bass_Hunter - if you tried to explain a "GB" in any pub or club i know you would be laughed outta the place!

But to the subject, yeah i play a lot r/t, not as much snooker as i used to unfortunately due to time restraints but love a few quick games of 9ball..

I play alot of us 8 ball this time of year as all my mates are back in leicester, almost got my first 7 balling but messed the black up (can't seem to do straight shots) But we only play for fun and normally get rather drunk and end up missing all the time (thats after the 3rd hour)

I generally only play 3-ball and killer in the pub, and 9ball and US8 in a pool club.

The one thing i miss since moving Islands for my job is a proper full size billiard table...

Deary me you 2 are showing your age! I can't play snooker the table is to big and i miss alot (one of the many problems with having 1 eye!)

Did you know i can't see 3-D as well, my wife constantly takes the pizz when looking at a magic eye book!

No, I'm afraid I'm too basic for that.

It's an American gambling-pool game. They sometimes call it dollar-3-ball.

Rules are: 3 balls set in a triangle. Each player takes a turn to break and pot all 3.

The player who pots all 3 in the least shots* wins the kitty of dollars (pounds in our case).

*Theres a limit of 7 shots to do it in. A foul counts as 2 shots. If you fail to do it in 7, you stop, you get an 8, and also the pleasure of putting an extra £ in.

Ah, dollar 3-ball i've heard of

My own favourite game is proper billiards played on a full size table. But sadly it is becoming a lost game now..

I personally would love to see "funkybilliards.com"! As there are many common variations (my favourite being the original non-pocket billiards)

However, i know this is unlikely to be popular, however it would be great to have a basic pocket billiards game added to the snooker site.
