i don't think deleting your account or reseting is a fair reflection if someone is that good they should prove it without resorting to deleting and starting up again.anyone else agree ?

If you read back allornothing, you will find that more than one person agrees
Excellent post by pool_life. Personally i think and "real rank" for each game, which cant be re-set, applies to all games, and is only shown on the users profile, would be a good thing.
Obviously this has to be coupled with the removal of the delete button. I know N9ick wants users t have the ability to remove thier details, however as i have suggested before, accounts could simply be de-activated like on many other sites, to be deleted if the user doesn't login again for a 6-12 month period.
Other suggestions would be to make newbie status time as well as game based, with a cap of, say, 800 rank. This means newbies can play as many games as they like but remain newbies for 6 months, and have other restrictions thus encouraging people to have only one account and use it properly..

I think we may have to consider revoking the posting ability of players who continually delete accounts.
There is the much talked about reset function in place right now, and using this doesn't make the forum appear as if a person called 'deleted user' has trampled all over it. true_legend, if you want to keep posting on this account you should make certain this the last time you delete!
Why would somebody who uses the same name not just click reset to start again, and save everybody else from wondering who made a comment on any number of threads?

I think perhaps this is because he doesn't want people to see how many times he has reset his scores in the events section of his profile. Silly, i know.

OK
How about whenever an account is deleted, the users details are retained and they are unable to re-register for 6 months. (this would be made clear by confirmation box when registering)
Combine this with an increase in details (DOB, Post/Zipcode etc, easily verifiable by online pubic databases) and we could make deleting for reset a thing of the past...
Also, i thought this would be a perfect ting for a users history section. When they reset, what thier scores were at the time etc etc...
Either way, the delete option surely must go since it is pointless now...
