quite often while playing the sound goes off. then i have to restart the browser to get the sound back. but then i can't do so while playing games or tourneys. causes me to miss shots (specially critical ones) since i can't hear the last 5 seconds timer. is there a way to solve this problem?

Well i havnt seen a thread like this before, so im guessing it doesnt happen regulary. Must be your PC?

It happens very often and yes it happens with only funkypool. today it happened almost every time i logged in. the sound goes off after i play one or two matches. previously , the problem existed but it was not frequent.

This could be a problem with your browser, like farren said does this only happen on funkypool and if it doesnt please could you tell me which browser you use?

my browser is mozilla firefox 1.5.0.8

I know this can sound a bit silly but when it happens again, try re-sizing your game window then change it back.

If it is a problem relating to 'lag' or other from the server, this often helps. Not really tried it with sound but if it works then it shouldn't be much of a problem. Worth a try.

If not, check your browser settings are in order.

thanks , but am afraid it won't work. browser settings are alright coz if they aren't , it won't work all the time. but as i said , the sound remains for a game or two, sometimes more and then goes off suddenly.

even i can't play my favourite rock songs while playing and that really affects my games.

Oh right, ermmmmm... what are the specs of your computer if you know them?

admins can you help ? i most probably feel that the problem is due to java applet sound program crashing somewhere. is there some application which while running on client can cause the applet sound to stop working . btw have updated the browser to mozilla firefox 2.0. haven't faced the problem so far.
