Well if someone had pm'ed you and it crashed, then obviously you had expierienced lag, and you had to Ctrl + Alt + Del to end it, its just that you might have had to many windows up, and that extra one, just topped it off, or the server was slow at the time, nothing to magor

lol it wasnt lag mate.
when the window initialised the program IE froze.
when a program freezes it doesnt hav a time span... its not gonna un-freeze.
therefore i dunno what it was

If it crashed your browser then chances are it's a problem with your Java setup. Have you got the latest Java version?
There is no way another user can crash your machine through funkypool (for a start, all messages are sent via the funkypool server) so it's definitely not xcoryx's fault!

- i have the most recent version of java (1.5.0)
- oh and lag does not have the capability of crashing multiple IE browser windows.
so anymore theories for me to ponder upon then discard.
it seems noone (even nick) seems to hav the answer.

A virtual machine crash which closes a browser window is caused by your Java version. If you have Java version 1.5.0 then it is not the latest, and it is not a very stable version.

Yep, I see the problem, it said you were using Java version 1.1.4 so it might be worth you upgrading to Java version 1.5.
Take a look on the help page regarding Java trouble to check your Java setup.

Ok, one important thing, do you happen to have either Nero or MSN messenger installed?
Because if you do, either of these programs have known conflicts with Java.
Nick said that because version 1.5 was the latest at that time, we know now it was unstable hence why it has been updated.

1.5.09 is the latest version, the end figures mean there have been 9 updates that Java have fixed to solve problems (often problems similar to these).

Personally I use version 1.1.4 (it's fast, and it allows me to constantly test that the latest funkypool abilities are working for the lowest spec machine).
