As everyone is aware, it is only the top 50 players in all game formats that know their position in the rankings. I dont know if this has been passed on before in the past but i thought it would be a good idea for the position of EVERY player to have their position noted on the their profile....i think it would make every player feel more a part of the rankings then, especially whens its out of 60,000 odd users :-P

yeah true...i have made a thread once before stateing what your overall rank is...even if you aint in the top 50

Imagine they had a leaderboard for EVERYONE to be in,it would bring a new dimension into playing, position...as well as rank.

just thought it would make people who have never been on the top 50 and mite not make it there feel more part of the site. Surely there must've bin a time when u have had low rank and wondered where u stand on the board? i know i have :-P

But what about multi-users? may skew it a bit

this whole site is based around users and not players so theres no way u can help that i mean what if one day someone made 10 accounts and got the top 10 spots? it never stopped them from makin the leaderboards so i dont think it should now either

This is why i suggested a while ago that all "leaderboards" should only feature active users (those who had played ranked games in the last 7 days, for example)

This, combined with the stricter multi-using policy, would be as genuine as a table could get.

The server is obviously already making the calculations so it dont suppose it would be a massive task to have a complete table, updated every hour or so.

However i kinda like your position being on your profile, nice idea that...

Well, if it's including overall rank then i don't see why not

But do this, add your 3 ranks together and divide it by three.

This would be your average.

Top idea spinner,way too many sitters on 850 on the UK 8 ball(18) and now we also have them on the US 8 ball(2).The only way to get good points is to play those above but its hard if they just sit there and do not play.The points deduction should not stop at 850,but go down to below pro and maybe then they would play a game or two and keep the top 50 active.

I have an idea.. make a "vacation" button on profile where you can press that and you dont drop any rank for high ranked players who want to take a break from FP or go on holiday without dropping a point! But by pressing this they wont beable sign in until there "vacation" is over.

Just thinking about getting the achievement of 950 rank going on holiday for 2 weeks and when you get back having 14 points chopped off your rank!

For low ranked players 14 points is very hard get back if you were over 900 (As squeezy will agree)

Man dont tell me when he comes back from hos 1st day of work EVER..he'll have lost points?

Not sure what you're on about jj0123, because most of the top players like the dedeuction system, since when you are that good, there isnt much else to challenge you!

However, the points system is tried and tested, and works well. My suggestion is to do with activity, and not just logging in.

Any user who hasn't played at least one ranked game in the past, say, 3 days (7 days is too long on reflection),should drop off the leaderboard for that game type.

The rule is a 1 point drop for any user with a ranking over 925.0, a 0.75 point drop for any user with a ranking over 900.0, a 0.50 point drop for any user with a ranking over 850.0 and a 0.25 drop for users with a ranking over 800.0.

Which means every week a person doesn't play they'll drop just under 2 points.

After all professionals should be playing.
