some one please tell me that the funkypool server keeps freezing and that its not my comp twice 2day ive been playing and funkypool has just froze is it my comp or has this happened 2 other ppl 2day? could it be the new server that nicks on about?

No i dont think the servers been put in place yet but anyway i think everyones the same, certainly i am

Longest server response time should have been 6 seconds, it is probably an intermittent network fault somewhere between you and the server.

nah it isn't it has something to do with the server as the 2pm tourney today is still playing but half the competitors got chucked out as "sever is too busy"

Wrong... earlier was regarding a problem from Tuesday.

However, today it was the server... the server was backed up which caused the server to run very very slow for 45 minutes, causing a lot of people to be logged out.

the tournys aren't dissapearing - very strange

One tournament looked like something was up. Normally when there's byes, they're because people are logged out at draw-time, or cos there's less than 2^n (2, 4, 8, 16, etc) people left. And usually the first entries in the draw are people with byes vs dq'ed people, then actual matches, then people with byes cos they have no opponents cos there's too few entrants in that round, in that precise order.

e.g.
player 1 BYE - DQ player2
player 3 BYE - DQ player4
player 5 BYE - DQ player6
player 7 0 - 2 player8
player 9 2 - 0 player10
player 11 1 - 2 player12
player 13 BYE
player 14 BYE

But in this tournament, the byes were all over the place! This never happens, and suggests to me that the server was on its knees. With its hands tied behind its back. Latest tournament http://www.funkypool.com/viewTournament.do?tournamentid=8809 was won cos the guy's opponent was logged out. I was watching that game and I got logged out by the server, meaning me and the other chap would both have been DQ'ed. I recommend that in cases of this happening, the server should immediately invite both players to a rematch as soon as one or both log in.

(In fairness the guy was 1-0 up, but my God, such a flukey black!!)
